Full job description

Primary Focus:

The primary focus of this position is to establish, maintain, and ensure consistent application of the Maintenance Management System (CMMS / EAM) procedures, security assignments, and codes required to interface with maintenance, purchasing, and inventory functions and to coordinate daily CMMS / EAM operations for the Engineering and Maintenance Departments. Focus on Inventory Management and Procurement for both LPC locations and MRO Storeroom Management. This role will support Nisku, Alberta, and Deforest Wisconsin sites. Expected travel 40%

CMMS / EAM can also mean Enterprise Asset Management and include those systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS / EAM)

Manages and troubleshoots the CMMS / EAM, Ensuring the system, software, training, and reports accurately and effectively function with the most current versions and applications.
Participates in requisite CMMS / EAM training and education and keeps abreast of software changes to remain informed on its use and function.
Responsible for the development and execution of training for CMMS / EAM for all end users across all sites.
Coordinates the planning, designing, and establishing data entry standards used in the CMMS / EAM.
Establishes, reassigns, revises, or deletes records in key data tables in response to system user requirements as applied through the use of department policies and standards.
Develops and manages standards/procedures for entering facility-wide information and setting system defaults for each site, purchasing center, and warehouse.
Manages establishing and using global codes used in the CMMS / EAM.
Coordinates with Engineering, Information Technology (IT), and CMMS / EAM users to facilitate the import and export of equipment, inventory, and other data.
Designs and creates reports and other reporting tools used in work order and inventory analysis graphs.
Monitors the change process for system procedures and standards.
Evaluate change proposals, coordinate change development, and implement change.
Develops tests and evaluates application responses to operating, application, and data environment changes.
Coordinates with the Maintenance Department to manage facility asset records, preventative maintenance schedules, and controlled maintenance inventory (management, requisition, and purchasing).
Performs periodic analysis of preventative maintenance program and presents analysis.
Coordinates the interface between maintenance, purchasing, and inventory to support the maintenance function, including establishing and maintaining equipment master, labor, and inventory records.
Controls the plant’s list of maintainable assets through their lifecycle.
Coordinates the acquisition and manages the implementation of the most appropriate and cost-effective asset tagging solution.
Implement and Manage the MRO (Maintenance/Repair/Operations) storeroom for all LPC facilities
Procurement and inventory management for LPC maintenance departments. This will include submitting requested material and parts orders from Maintenance department leads.
Main point of contact for all parts and asset-related items to ensure a safe and productive run.
Conduct semi-annual audits of the inventory in Nisku and Deforest.
Take part in any DFMEAs for new equipment or Defect elimination of current assets.
Coordinates and liaises with other departments to process asset disposals and gather project data.
Prepares weekly PM completion reports

Desired Qualifications:

Minimum three years experience in a maintenance role (electrical, mechanical, or technical)
Minimum three years experience in a food manufacturing plant, preferably in the produce industry.
Minimum three years of administration or super user role working with a Maintenance Management System (CMMS / EAM) such as (Empaq, MPulse, Dude Solutions, Limble, Maximo, KloudGin, etc.)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Power BI, SharePoint, SQL
Proficiency with Excel Data Manipulation
Proficiency with inventory Management (strongly desired)

Key Competencies:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented and can manage small data gathering, entry, and progress reporting projects.
Ability to train others in software capabilities and use.
Ability to develop and run reports from the CMMS / EAM system based on stakeholder requirements.
Ability to audit system for proper use and alignment to data standards.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-departmental team environment.
A highly motivated self-starter who can work with little or no supervision.

TECHNICAL ABILITIES:

Must possess knowledge and experience in automated systems and terminology and the ability to develop and interpret related reports using ERP, spreadsheet, word processing and graphics software.  Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard business machines, such as a computer and keyboard, a calculator, telephone, FAX, photocopier and so on.

In the event key personnel responsible for this role is unavailable, an appropriately trained backup has been assigned to cover the duties to ensure the integrity of the SQF System.

OVERTIME:

Given the nature of this position, it is considered overtime exempt under the Employment Standards Code (Alberta) and you are not entitled to any overtime pay or time off in lieu.
