We are in search of a detail-oriented and highly organized Bilingual (English/French) Paralegal for our subsidiary, LendCare Capital Inc.

Responsibilities:

Draft and prepare pleadings along with a variety of legal documents with precision.
Consistently hit or exceed monthly targets
Proactively plan and prioritize tasks to meet critical deadlines and maintain workflow.
Liaise with other members of the legal department
Manage and maintain a high volume of legal files, ensuring organization and accessibility
Actively prepare for and attend court appearances, providing solid support to our legal team.
Oversee and coordinate legal settlements and collections processes
Efficiently locate individuals and assets using Skip Tracing techniques
Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation.

Requirements:

Paralegal Diploma or Certificate, Licensed with the Law Society of Ontario
Accreditation in good standings
Professional Liability Insurance
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
Knowledge of the Rules of the Small Claims Court and Small Claims Debt Collections
Relevant working experience is an asset but not required
Excellent computer skills and the ability to adapt to company systems
Comfortable working independently and in a team environment
A proactive mindset with the ability to consistently meet or exceed monthly targets.
Valid driver’s license and vehicle for court appearances (mileage reimbursed)
Fulltime availability (40 hours/week) and ability to work in our head office in Pickering, ON
