Position Summary

With its innovative IT technology, our organization developed the integrated logistics solutions ,started its logistics business in 2012 and expanded its logistics business with Business Process Outsourcing.
We are looking for a Facility Manager in Distribution Center Management that will provide oversight and be responsible for the operational performance of the inbound and outbound distribution, inventory, reverse logistics and planning functional teams. The role involves managing the entire warehouse facility while leading multiple teams of managers, supervisors and individuals contributing to the overall success of warehouse operations, personnel and, health and safety. The incumbent will be in charge of the relationship management and problem resolution with logistics service providers and customers in accordance with the internal company policies and goals.
Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the facility's operations function and performance.
Leads multiple operational teams and individuals to ensure that processes, training, and quality of output services reflect the established standards.
Manages all aspects of supply chain providing leadership in planning, inventory management, warehousing and distribution of products for the entire region.
Supports the accomplishment of strategic objectives that promote the value of operational excellence and leads to exceptional customer service.
Collaborates with leadership and teams to identify process gaps and translates findings into Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training and continuous improvement opportunities within and across Operations that directly impact the client experience.
Manages multiple projects ensuring the delivery of SOP’s, training, quality, alignment of strategic business plans, meeting the required timeframes, and supporting individuals and teams through change.
Responsible for daily/weekly/monthly operations reports, business simulation, process testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams supporting different projects.
Plans and coordinates resources to support continuous improvement, training, process improvement to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintains and grows existing relationship with internal and external stakeholders while dealing with the general public, customers, associates, and government officials with tact and courtesy.
Supports the continual evaluation of programs through evaluation metrics proactively managing risk and opportunity; inclusive of financial, governance, legal and compliance, human resources, public accountability; and implements innovative and integrative solutions to risk management challenges.
Establishes and maintains strong internal controls and procedures.
Evaluates the Operations team structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as provide individuals with training, motivation and guidance for professional and personal growth opportunities.
Develops learning resources and tracks impacts of consistent workflow and processes on the team.
Facilitates HR functions such as hiring, training and development, performance reviews, retention, termination etc. for the responsible group.
Works in compliance of Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations.
Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree or post-secondary diploma in supply-chain or business with minimum 4 years’ leadership experience in warehouse operations, supply-chain management, distribution or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Experience managing and developing teams in distribution and warehouse environment is must.
Experience in developing and improving warehouse practices to create efficiencies.
Experience managing large workload, conflicting tasks, work under pressure with tight deadlines, along with communication with members from all levels of the organization
Knowledge of SAP and Transportation Management System (TMS) is required.
Ability to work in a variety of climates and conditions; warehouse facilities that are hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
Ability to lift and/ or move up to 50 lbs.
Able to work in multicultural environment & manage different shifts as required (1st / 2nd / 3rd).
Availability to work flexible hours as required to meet business needs.
Must have prior experience using industrial equipment and developing warehouse health and safety practices.
Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required.
Must have ability to connect and build rapport and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Must have ability to work efficiently with time management and organizational skills with follow-up and follow through.
Ability to manage through a problem, think, and make decisions independently.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute annual financial operating plan.
Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
Must demonstrate ownership & responsibility for running the operation with a sense of urgency.
Strong written/oral communication including the ability to present in front of others, and demonstrate active listening skills are required.
