Location: Bella Coola Heli Sports lodges, Remote (shift work)
Schedule: 15 days on, 6 days off (approximately), 10hrs/ a day
Terms: Seasonal Full-Time (December-April)

Job Description
We are looking for a knowledgeable, organized, and hands-on Ski Technician who takes pride in delivering exceptional equipment performance and supporting unforgettable mountain experiences. As Ski Technician at Bella Coola Heli Sports, you play a vital role in ensuring every guest begins each ski day with equipment that is expertly prepared, properly fitted, and maintained to the highest standards of safety and performance.
Working across our remote mountain lodge operation, you'll oversee our ski and snowboard fleet, support mountain operations, and contribute to the smooth execution of daily lodge logistics. This role combines technical expertise with operational support, requiring someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes ownership of every detail behind the scenes.

You'll work closely with our guides, operations team, maintenance staff, and lodge managers to ensure equipment, inventory, fueling operations, and guest arrivals all run seamlessly. Responsibilities:
Ski Fleet Rental & Inventory Management
- Maintain Bella Coola Heli Sports' ski and snowboard fleet to the highest standards of performance, safety, and presentation.
- Tune, wax, repair, mount, adjust, and inspect skis and snowboards throughout the season.
- Recommend and fit appropriate skis and snowboards based on guest ability, conditions, and guide recommendations.
- Respond promptly to guest equipment requests, changes, and adjustments throughout their stay.
- File ski waivers, rental documentation, and equipment records with high diligence to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage the complete seasonal lifecycle of the ski fleet, including preseason setup, in-season maintenance, and postseason servicing.
- Maintain and organize additional recreational equipment, including cross-country skis, snowshoes, and activity day gear.
Professional Standards & Guest Experience

- Follow all company safety procedures, operational policies, and equipment maintenance standards.
- Represent Bella Coola Heli Sports through professionalism, reliability, and a genuine passion for mountain adventure and hospitality.
Lodge Logistics & Support
- Assist with transfer days by supporting guest arrivals and departures alongside the guide and lodge teams.
- Fuel company vehicles according to company procedures and safety protocols.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment, luggage, and supplies during operational movements.
- Support daily logistics to ensure guides and lodge teams have the equipment and resources required for successful operations.
Property Upkeep & Team Collaboration
- Assist with snow and ice removal from guest pathways, cabins, roadways, and operational areas.
- Support basic lodge maintenance, groundskeeping, and seasonal property upkeep as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized ski shop, maintenance area, and storage facilities.
- Work collaboratively with Guides, Maintenance, Guest Services, and Lodge Operations to support overall lodge success.
- Contribute to Bella Coola Heli Sports' Emergency Response Plan by assisting with equipment preparation and operational support when required.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a ski technician, ski shop technician, outdoor equipment technician, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of alpine ski equipment, tuning, waxing, mounting, binding adjustment, and repairs.
- Experience managing equipment inventories.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Physically capable of lifting equipment, working outdoors in winter conditions, and performing repetitive manual tasks.
- Comfortable living and working in a remote mountain lodge environment.
- Valid Class 4 Driver's Licence.
