The Manitoba Department of Justice is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Scheduling and Timekeeping Clerk, located at the Brandon Correctional Centre, in Brandon, Manitoba.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Extensive experience administering and maintaining complex electronic and manual employee schedules
- Experience performing clerical and/or administrative support duties
- Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and meeting deadlines
- Experience with interpreting and applying policies, procedures and Collective Agreements in a scheduling and timekeeping environment
- Proficiency in computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience working in a team environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Experience in timekeeping with a variety of employee types in a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation
- Experience performing timekeeping functions in SAP

Duties:
Reporting directly to the Manager, Financial Services and under the supervision of the institutional Services Manager, the incumbent is responsible for providing staff scheduling services and Timekeeping support in accordance with the Manitoba Government Employees' Master Agreement (GEMA) and Component/Sub Agreements for regular, Part-time and casual employees in a 24-hour shift environment. The duties of the incumbent will include coordinating staff scheduling activities to ensure replacement staff availability for planned absences and initiating replacement staffing activity. Providing timekeeping support, performing all assigned duties and shared duties which may include processing of all time off requests, employment status changes and other functions related to payroll and benefits.
