We are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Fitter/Welder to join our dedicated team on the day shift (Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm). This role will work out of our 87,000 sq. ft. facility located in Puslinch, ON. Please note that our facility is not accessible by bus.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Fit and weld lift tables and dock lifts
- Tack and weld dock levelers, lift tables or other material handling equipment
- Read and interpret blue prints, sketches and drawing specifications
- Weld/assemble fabrications accurately and efficiently based on the drawings/instructions provided
- Assemble large weldments into finished product
- Simple hydraulic plumbing and hose routing
- Inspect work in progress and upon completion, verifying dimensions for accuracy and conformance to specifications
- Clean parts as required
- Test final product for function and conformance to customer specifications
- Operate crane and other material handling equipment as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean work area as well as work as efficiently as possible
- Responsible for clocking in and out of projects on a daily basis, as accurately as possible
- Work in a safe manner in accordance to legislation and Company policies. This includes wearing required PPE (Welding helmet, steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses)
Qualifications:
- 2+ years reading blueprints with the ability to understand welding symbols and diagrams
- 3+ years of experience in a fast paced custom steel fabrication setting
- 3+ years of experience with MIG welding is required
- Capable of standing for extended periods of time
- Possess a positive attitude and work well in a team oriented environment
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, continually adapting to change and work under pressure
A weld test will be conducted during the interview process.
