About Us

The Penticton Lakeside Resort has been an integral part of Penticton’s coastline since 1982 when it first opened its doors to international arrivals, Canadian Travelers, and local British Columbians. The breathtaking scenery surrounding Penticton and Okanagan Lake is just the beginning of our guests’ unique vacation experience at Penticton Lakeside Resort and Conference Centre. Our property includes 273 unique guestrooms, three private restaurants, a private beach and marina on Okanagan Lake, and many more amenities for our guests to enjoy.

We Take Care of Our Team

We offer competitive compensation based on skill and experience. You are provided with a meal on-shift and/or discounts at the restaurants. Extended health care benefits are available based on employment status.

Your Role

The night bellperson is responsible for assisting the front desk and attending to guests during the hours of 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. Various tasks and deliveries are completed with a daily checklist, while providing a high level of customer service to our guests.

Responsibilities:

Guest services including greeting guests, directing guests to and providing information about resort amenities, valet and parking information
Additional guest requests, including but not limited to, luggage help, delivery requests (toiletries, glassware, etc.), minor maintenance and/or technical issues (TV and remotes, clogged sinks or toilets, wifi/internet help)
Take, prepare and deliver overnight room service orders, including the use of the kitchen facilities and equipment, Squirrel point of sale software, cleaning and stocking the room service area at the end of the shift, and removing room service trays from guest hallways
Prepare all guest room keys for the following days' arrivals
Assist with check-ins and check-outs, and answering phones
Cross-train and assist with audit checklist as necessary
Complete rounds of the hotel and grounds throughout the shift, in conjunction with security, including floor checks

Qualifications

Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions
Proficient in using phone systems and computer software
Self-motivated individual with willingness to work as a positive team player

Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
