Inventory and Warehouse Coordinator

What will you be doing?
The Inventory and Warehouse Coordinator will report to the Materials Management & Production Planner and will oversee the inventory and flow of materials for MMIST internal stakeholders. You are responsible for receiving, storing, kitting and distributing materials and supplies used by MMIST.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution of materials to internal or external clients.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly, and dispatch of goods and reconcile data with ERP system.
- Ensure a safe working environment through sound knowledge and understanding of dangerous goods.
- Manage inventory by minimizing slow moving, obsolete, expired, overstocked and dead items.
- Manage third-party property in accordance with industry best practices.
- Provides reporting, analysis and feedback to auditors as required.
- Set up and maintain inventory recording and control systems and facilitate/coordinate information and the movement of tools, equipment and shop supplies.
- Analyze work in area, determine priorities and sequence work based on customer requirements.
- Performing inventory checks to ensure that stock is not running low on any items
- Stocking shelves with new inventory items, maintaining organized inventory levels by reordering items as needed.
- Making sure that all returned items are accounted for and processed correctly.
- Maintaining records on inventory levels and other data about each item in stock
- Work with Procurement to rectify any shipment discrepancies noted on received purchase orders.
- Work with Finance on the resolution of supplier of supplier invoicing discrepancies related to inventory.
What do we need from you?
- College degree/diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field or high school diploma
- APICS Certifications would be an asset
- Previous experience in a similar Inventory management role
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50lbs)
- Familiarity with MSDS sheets desired.
- Familiarity with JIT, ERP and MRP desired
