Are you ready to be a key player in a high-performing production team? The Production Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment to ensure the efficient and safe manufacturing of gypsum wallboard products. Success in this role means contributing to a quality-driven, safety-first environment while delivering exceptional results for our customers.
- Operate and Monitor Equipment: Operate automated production and mobile equipment while following established procedures and safety standards.
- Ensure Quality: Conduct routine inspections and quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
- Optimize Equipment: Adjust settings to maintain optimal production rates and product quality.
- Troubleshoot and Report: Resolve minor equipment issues and escalate complex problems to the maintenance team.
- Record Activities: Maintain accurate production records, including counts, downtime, quality testing and any encountered issues.
- Support Changeovers: Assist with equipment setup for different product specifications.
- Commit to Safety: Follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
- Promote Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
- Maintain Workspaces: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the production area.
Working Conditions
- Work in a manufacturing environment exposed to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Availability for various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude with a commitment to safety.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment operation.
Preferred:
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in an automated facility.
