This position has been created to ensure the development of our systems design and manufacturing business unit, as well as the smooth running of the company's operations (purchasing, inventory, shipping and receiving). The Systems and Operations Manager will develop, implement and ensure the success of action plans to meet the company's high-growth objectives. He will also ensure and maintain the department's high quality standards and strive to continuously improve the customer experience.

The System and Operation Manager will manage the department's resources, mainly located at our Boisbriand plant, but also spread across Canada. Working closely with sales, he will focus particularly on growing revenues for the systems department and the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In close collaboration with the management team, participate in formulating the company's vision and strategic action plans in order to achieve the company's growth objectives.
Actively communicate and explain the vision, values and action plans to all company stakeholders (service, internal sales, external sales, operations, marketing, administration, ...)
Lead the engineering, systems assembly, purchasing and inventory, shipping and receiving teams. Coach and support supervisors.
Formulate clear specific objectives for his teams in line with the company's strategic objectives. In collaboration with supervisors, implement and monitor action plans to ensure achievement of these objectives.
Manage all human resources, financial and material resources of the Systems Department to ensure the quality, cost and deadline control, competitiveness and growth of our vacuum systems and compressor offering. All this while respecting the company's policies and values.
Manage all supply chain operations (purchasing, inventory, shipping and receiving) for all company business units (distribution, service and systems) to ensure smooth logistics processes and low purchasing and operating costs, as well as adequate inventory levels to ensure both growth and profitability.
Monitor the knowledge and skill levels of employees under his/her responsibility, to ensure the continuous individual development of each employee.
To ensure that company policies are applied throughout the department, and to uphold the company's values (success, customer satisfaction and partnership).

This job description includes additional responsibilities:

Collaborate and exchange ideas with other Busch companies internationally.
The company is planning to expand its Boisbriand plant by 2025-2026, the main objective being to support the growth of the systems manufacturing department. In collaboration with the General Manager, the Systems and Operations Manager will be responsible for the internal project management of this expansion.
All other tasks and responsibilities that may be delegated by your supervisor.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
5-6 years management experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Work experience / in-depth knowledge in supply chain management, engineering team management or technical trades management. The ideal candidate would have combined experience including these 3 aspects.
Work experience / in-depth knowledge in systems integration involving rotating machinery (pumping equipment).

OTHER SKILLS

Natural leader, good judgment, self-starter, analytical and able to work in a multi-tasking environment.
Bilingual (spoken and written): English and French mandatory.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Able to perform data analysis using Microsoft Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, slicers, etc.).
Knowledge of LEAN, 5S, Kaizen quality/efficiency programs.
