Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations within a busy restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in the food industry while supporting our kitchen staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Candidates with restaurant experience, kitchen experience, and a strong understanding of food safety are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Working the grill/preparing plates
Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to recipes and quality standards
Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and maintaining station cleanliness
Help ensure efficient food service by coordinating with the kitchen team during busy hours
Handle food safely, adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
Maintain organized workstations and assist with inventory management of kitchen supplies
Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
Support the team in serving customers promptly and professionally during service hours

Qualifications

Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation
Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment under supervision
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Passion for the food industry and eagerness to learn new culinary skills
