About Loyal Homes
Loyal Homes is a BC real estate brokerage based in Port Alberni. We are building a better path into real estate for ambitious people who want a serious career, real training, and a lower-risk way to get started.
Real estate can be life-changing. It can also be incredibly difficult. Most people enter the industry without enough training, support, or lead generation behind them. We built the Career Launchpad to change that.
Our marketing team currently attracts over 1,200 new real estate leads per month, and our Real Estate Guides help turn those leads into qualified appointments for our Real Estate Advisors.
This is not a traditional real estate job. It is a structured career pathway.
The Opportunity
We are looking for ambitious, hard-working people in Port Alberni who want to build a career in real estate.
If accepted into the Loyal Homes Career Launchpad, you will begin by enrolling in the UBC real estate licensing course online. While completing your licensing, you will have a the option to work with us as a paid intern at $20/hour on a flexible schedule or stay at your current job while you complete the course.
Once you complete your licensing requirements, you can move into our Real Estate Guide role.
As a Real Estate Guide, your job is to connect with online real estate leads, help them through the early stages of their search, qualify their motivation, ability, and timeframe, and set appointments with our Real Estate Advisors.
This role is sales-focused, people-focused, and performance-driven.
What the Career Path Looks Like
Step 1: Enrol in the UBC real estate licensing course
You complete your coursework online, typically over 4 to 6 months. Licensing course costs are the candidate’s responsibility.
Step 2: Work as a paid intern
Accepted candidates can choose to work with Loyal Homes while studying and learning the business. Intern pay is $20/hour.
Step 3: Become a licensed Real Estate Guide
Once licensed, you move into a full-time, in-person role focused on calling, texting, emailing, qualifying leads, and setting appointments.
Step 4: Grow your career
After building experience as a Real Estate Guide for three years, you may choose to stay in that role or grow toward a full Real Estate Advisor career.
What You’ll Do as an Intern
- Learn how a real estate brokerage works
- Support the team with client service and administrative tasks
- Observe real estate lead follow-up and appointment setting
- Learn our systems, standards, and client experience process
- Prepare for a future licensed sales role
What You’ll Do as a Real Estate Guide
- Call, text, and email online real estate leads
- Build relationships with buyers and sellers
- Understand each client’s motivation, ability, and timeframe
- Help clients navigate the online portion of their real estate search
- Set qualified appointments for Loyal Homes Real Estate Advisors
- Use Follow Up Boss and our internal systems to manage follow-up
- Work a structured 40-hour week from our Port Alberni office

Compensation
Internship while licensing: $20/hour
Real Estate Guide after licensing: hourly wage plus commission, with target earnings of $100,000–$120,000/year for successful performers.
Future Real Estate Advisor pathway: potential for higher income with greater responsibility, longer hours, and a more traditional real estate sales role.
Income in licensed real estate roles is not guaranteed and depends on performance, market conditions, client conversion, and role progression.

- Must live in Port Alberni
- Must be willing to work 100% in person at the Loyal Homes office
