Full job description

Our company is looking to hire an experienced Warehouse Manager located near Mississauga, Ontario. This role will include supervising the day-to-day operations and responsibilities of our warehouse team, overseeing inventory, maintaining a positive work environment, coaching and mentoring supervisors and staff, and emphasizing the importance/adherence to Health and Safety regulations and standards.

The Role:

➢ Responsible and accountable for all shipping, receiving, and distribution activities to make sure all internal processes are preserved and are accurately completed in a timely manner

➢ Acting as the point of contact between our Operations Department, Inventory
Department and Warehouse staff accordingly

➢ Coordinating with senior management and clients to support the improvement and implementation of new and existing procedures

➢ Assessing staffing needs in accordance with volume trends and coordinating with various department heads accordingly

➢ Determining staff hours and advocating a positive culture for all team members

➢ Overseeing staff assignments, timetables, and productivity targets

➢ Responsible for scheduling and examining staffing requirement for after-hours customer requests

➢ Accountable for maintaining and forecasting warehouse budgets accordingly

➢ Making sure that staff are competently trained and supporting records are maintained

➢ Leading by example and being proactive in relation to all Health & Safety related aspects

➢ Possess a strong knowledge of national transportation

➢ Overseeing all equipment maintenance and capacities

➢ Optimizing racking constructions and patterns to maximize room and profit

➢ Supervise and examine all cycle-counts for accuracy and discrepancies

➢ Managing client orders and receipts based on numerous requests and conditions

➢ Ensuring customer satisfaction at all times

Professional Background:

➢ 8-10+ years working in the role of a Warehouse Manager

➢ 5-6+ years of national transportation

➢ 10 + years in a 3PL warehouse environment

➢ Able to handle high-volume distributions with a strong attention to detail with inventory management

➢ Extensive knowledge with e-Commerce operations

Attributes:

➢ Strong communication and interpersonal skills

➢ Excellent critical thinking skills with an emphasis of analytical and problem-solving skills

➢ Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to coach and mentor direct reports in relation to this

➢ Having the mindset of being goal-oriented while looking for ways to improve practices and processes

➢ Knowledge in Lean & Six Sigma type practices and philosophies

➢ Being a leader to foster the growth of staff while promoting a positive learning atmosphere

➢ Demonstrates a strong commitment in relation to timely responses to all stakeholders involved

➢ Able to work as a team and be willing to assist as needed

➢ Able to proactively think ahead and taking initiative to anticipate competing deadlines and challenges
