The Wetaskiwin Primary Care Network (WPCN) seeks to fill a part-time, (.6 - .8 FTE) Registered Dietitian position. This role assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates nutrition care plans for patients in 1:1 and small group settings ensuring application of evidence-based health care. The Dietitian works to full scope of practice with an emphasis on providing comprehensive nutritional care, education, and guidance to patients with, or with risks for developing, chronic diseases. A valuable member of the Inter-Professional Primary Care Team, the Registered Dietitian provides comprehensive nutrition services to patients referred from within the Network and consults with Family Physicians, and other health professionals regarding local and regional programming.
Our ideal candidate has:
- A Baccalaureate degree with major in Foods and Nutrition and completion of accredited Dietetic internship.
- Mandatory registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta. Evidence of renewal annually.
- Current College of Dietitians of Alberta registration
- Authorized to use the title of CDE by the Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification Board is an asset.
- Experience in using electronic medical records is an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years clinical dietitian consultation experience.
- Experience working with patients with, or at risk of chronic disease.
- Experience and comfortable working with Vulnerable populations in a variety of settings including but not limited to less traditional health care environments, is preferred.
- Been authorized to use the title of CDE by the Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification Board, is an asset.
- Excellent relationship building, communication and interpersonal skills.
This position reports to the Clinical Manager of the Wetaskiwin Primary Care Network.

Pay: $37.85-$50.33 per hour
Expected hours: 23 – 30 per week
