Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Sales Supervisor to lead our store team and ensure exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive retail management experience, and a passion for driving sales. This role involves overseeing daily store operations, managing staff, and implementing merchandising strategies to maximize store performance. Bilingual abilities and prior supervisory experience are highly valued to support diverse customer needs and team development.

Responsibilities

Supervise and motivate retail staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS transactions
Recruit, interview, and train new team members to ensure a knowledgeable and efficient workforce
Manage merchandising efforts, including pricing strategies, product placement, and inventory purchasing
Develop and implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing clients
Monitor sales performance through reporting and analytics; adjust strategies accordingly
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette
Maintain organizational standards for cleanliness, safety, and store presentation
Oversee payroll processing, scheduling, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and record keeping
Lead team meetings to communicate goals, provide training & development opportunities, and foster a positive work environment
Collaborate with upper management on budgeting, sales management, and promotional activities

Skills

Proven supervisory experience in retail sales or store management
Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills
Proficiency in merchandising, pricing strategies, POS systems, and cash handling
Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and customers
Multilingual or bilingual skills to serve diverse clientele effectively
Skilled in recruiting, training & development, and team management
Sound knowledge of marketing techniques and promotional planning
Organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and payroll processing
Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Competence in budgeting, sales management, and store operations analysis
Excellent interpersonal skills with professional phone etiquette
Basic math skills for pricing calculations and financial record keeping
