Health and Safety Coordinator

What Will You Do at TPH?
The Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of occupational health and safety within our organization, ensuring compliance with regulations on-site and in the office, and promoting a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain health and safety boards and resources at all sites, ensuring they are current and accessible to all employees.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for COR (Certificate of Recognition) certification and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Coordinate and schedule health and safety training sessions for employees, including external and internal training.
- Investigate and document work-related accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and job hazard analyses.
- Collaborate with management and employees to develop and promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
- Assist in revising health and safety policies, procedures, and manuals to reflect current regulations and best practices.
What You’ll Bring:
- 2+ years of experience in a health and safety role is preferred
- Experience in the construction industry and with COR certification is an asset
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is preferred
- CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) or equivalent certification is an asset
- Strong knowledge of provincial and federal OHS legislation and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Valid Driver’s license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Solid organization, efficiency and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
