Job Description:
Vance Home Furnishings is a family-owned retail store dedicated to providing quality furniture, appliances, and mattresses at exceptional value, while ensuring the positive purchasing experience our customers’ want. We are seeking a creative, self-motivated, and personable individual to join our team as a full-time Sales Representative and Marketing Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver an Exceptional Purchasing Experience:
- Engage with customers to understand their needs.
- Offer solutions based on your knowledge of our products and how they meet those needs.
- Process sales transactions efficiently.
- Build long-term relationships through proactive interaction before, during, and after the sale.
- Assist with Marketing Efforts:
- Assist with promotion implementation and marketing initiatives.
- Create and manage engaging social media content.
- Contribute to creative marketing projects.
Qualifications:
- Sales or customer service experience preferred; marketing experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with email, social media platforms and online graphic design platform such as Canva. Point-of-sale systems experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to exhibit a mature and professional presentation in all customer interactions.
- Ability to work Tuesday through to Saturday.
Wage and benefits:
· $19-$21 per hour.
· Sales incentives estimate, average $2.50 per hour, sales volume dependent.
