The successful candidate will work on complex transactions within a collegial and supportive team environment. Responsibilities:
- Preparing documents for all types of BC and Federal corporate entities
- Working on corporate transactions e.g. registrations, incorporations, reorganizations, continuations, alterations, mergers & acquisitions, section 85 rollovers, restorations, resolutions, amalgamations, dissolutions, and share and tax transactions
- Preparing closing agendas and legal documents
- Performing due diligence searches and reviews
- Maintaining files, databases, and corporate records
- Conducting minute book reviews
- Liaising with clients, colleagues, and other parties as necessary
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience working as a Corporate Paralegal in a British Columbia law firm
- Paralegal certificate or diploma from a recognized institution
- Strong computer skills with programs such as MS Office and ALF
- Ability to manage senior-level corporate transactions independently
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Upbeat and professional demeanour
- Excellent organizational and document management skills
- Superb communication and document drafting skills
