Full job description

Overview:

The Professional Development & Member Events Coordinator is responsible for the sourcing and implementation of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) offerings and member events with a deliberate focus on member satisfaction.

Duties:

Being responsible for all aspects of the CPD events management, including planning, logistics, execution, and post-event debriefing;

Developing and proposing annual CPD programming which meets the educational needs of members;

Providing input and recommendations relating to the development of an annual professional development (CPD) strategy with corresponding benchmarks, objectives, targets, and success indicators;

Fostering and maintaining an excellent working relationship with facilitators, negotiating contracts, and maintaining a repository of past and prospective facilitators;

Processing feedback received from members for the purpose of assessing the appropriateness and quality of CPD offerings;

Managing the e-learning/on demand offerings by annually reviewing titles and ensuring they meet the members’ needs;

Working with the staff team to conceptualize, plan, and organize social events such as meet-and-greets, networking opportunities, and the annual Convocation ceremony and gala;

Being responsible for all event logistics - including negotiating contracts, interacting with suppliers and service providers, and post-event debriefings;

With guidance from the Manager, Marketing and Digital Communications, building and managing events within CPA NB’s content and member engagement platform (iMIS) as it pertains to CPD and events

Skills & Education:

Bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in a related discipline

3+ years of experience in a similar role

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

Superior oral and written communication in both English and French

Keen orientation towards exceeding member expectations

Exceptional relationship building skills and an openness to listen to diverse ideas

Superior attention to detail and ability to manage a budget

Resourceful with a strong propensity to offer solutions

Some travel and work outside of operating hours will be required

Location: Moncton, NB
