The Warehouse Reach Operator works to ensure that finished products are assembled and ready to be shipped from the Sonora Foods Warehouse.
Please note that this environment is mostly refrigerated. The refrigerator section is -5 to -7 Degrees. We provide jackets and gloves as protective equipment.
Works hours are Monday to Friday 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Receive all orders of raw materials
- Pick, prepare and load orders for shipment
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of all inventory received
- Store and organize all inventory within the warehouse
- Rotate inventory which ensures FIFO
- Organize warehouse areas to ensure efficient and safe use of space
- Ensure all standard operation procedures are followed consistently
- Comply with all sanitation, food safety, and health and safety programs
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse
- Loading and unloading trucks as needed
- Other duties as required
Education and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid Reach Forklift License is required
- 2-3 years of work experience operating a reach forklift, in an industrial or warehouse environment
- Experience using a WMS and RF scanners is an asset
- Basic understanding of food safety, quality processes and process compliance
- Basic written and oral communication skills (English)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
