As we embark on new exciting renovations, we are seeking a skilled Construction Site Manager to join our team on a nine (9) month contract basis. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring our projects are completed on time, within budget, and to our high standards.
Job Summary
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee a major grocery store renovation project. Role Overview:
As the Construction Site Manager for our grocery store renovation project, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project specifications. You will act as the primary point of contact between our company, the client, and subcontractors, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of the renovation project from initiation to completion, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Team Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to ensure work is completed on time and to quality standards.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work and ensure that all construction activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Budget Management: Track project expenses, manage costs, and ensure the project remains within budget. Prepare and review financial reports as needed.
- Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for the client, addressing any concerns or changes to the project scope. Provide regular updates and reports on project progress.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed to create a safe working environment for all site personnel.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise during the project, making adjustments as necessary to keep the project on track.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager or in a similar role within the construction or renovation industry, with a strong background in retail or commercial projects.
- Education: Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and project management principles.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as OSHA, PMP, or similar are highly desirable.
