STEMCELL Technologies, Canada’s largest biotechnology company, is seeking an Administrative Operations Associate to provide administrative and operational support for our Research and Development (R&D) Department.
In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations that enable our R&D teams to innovate and succeed. You will coordinate departmental activities, maintain operational records and reporting, and assist with onboarding and training initiatives. By managing administrative processes, supporting compliance-related activities, and coordinating operational workflows, you will help drive efficiency and support the smooth functioning of the department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Execute day-to-day departmental administrative and operational activities
Maintain departmental records, track operational activities through databases and spreadsheets, and provide administrative support and team coverage as required
Support onboarding administration for new hires and internal transfers, such as the training matrix administration, coordination and enrollment
Coordinate departmental meetings, events, and activities in collaboration with others; prepare meeting minutes, presentations, and supporting documentation
Knowledge and Qualifications
BSc in Life Sciences with up to 2 years of relevant experience, or Associates Degree with 2-4 years of relevant work experience in operational, coordination or administrative support
Experience within a life sciences, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated R&D environment is considered an asset
Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications, databases, and spreadsheets

The annual salary for this job ranges from:
$58,500.00 - $79,100.00
STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
