We’re currently looking for an Instructional Designer to join our Training team. These innovative specialists play a vital role in developing effective, engaging, and impactful learning experiences that enhance our employees’ skills, improve performance, and drive H2Safety’s success.

What You’ll Do & How You’ll Make an Impact

Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather and analyze learning objectives, assess needs, determine target audience, develop content, and construct effective, performance-based, engaging, and practical learning solutions
Utilize instructional design principles and cutting-edge industry best practices, technology, and strategies to create innovative and interactive training catalogs, job aids, performance support tools, and reference and course materials
Develop instructional design strategies, frameworks, and project plans in alignment with organizational goals and objectives
Identify, design, and develop best approach training requirements including e-learning modules, videos, simulations, interactive presentations, course assessments and refreshment, and supporting materials using authoring tools, multi-media software, and learning management systems
Apply adult learning principles, instructional design theories, and educational psychology to ensure effective learning experiences and knowledge transfer
Conduct formative and summative evaluations to measure the effectiveness of learning solutions and recommend improvements
Select appropriate instructional methods and delivery mechanisms based on target audience characteristics and learning objectives
Collaborate with graphic designers, multi-media specialists, and other team members to ensure high-quality visuals and media elements in learning materials
Stay up to date with the latest instructional design trends, technologies, and best practices; continually enhance knowledge and skills through professional development
Design and develop new and/or revise existing course content to meet learner needs using best practices in instructional design and technology
Implement various training mediums to actively engage employees in the course content using realistic decision-making activities and problem-solving scenarios
Assist in the facilitation of training course content to identified employees (train-the-trainer)

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, education, or related field
10+ years of experience creating high-quality, interactive, effective and blended learning solutions for a high growth company
Proven experience in instructional design and developing learning content based on assessments, design, and conceptualization of training scenarios, approaches, plans, tools, guidance, aids, courses, etc.
Excellent knowledge of instructional design models, strategies, learning theories, and adult learning principles
Experience with technical writing and editing
Extensive experience using e-learning software
Knowledge of how to integrate change management with instructional design strategy to create buy-in and support company-wide goals
Proficiency with industry-standard authoring tools and learning management systems
Excellent content research and analytical skills to identify relevant learning content
Outstanding time-management and prioritization skills with a results-driven focus to ensure all deadlines and priorities are managed effectively
Excellent written and verbal communications kills
A high-level of initiative, self-motivation and autonomy
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills across various mediums
Demonstrated ability to analyze and adapt training to individual and group levels of knowledge
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve problems in a variety of contexts
Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
Passion for designing unique training requirements for departments/roles

Bonus Experience
