Your days will include:
- Assessing the usefulness of pre-developed application packages and adapting them to a user environment
- Providing support to IS service desk staff specifically when system related issues arise
- Monitoring technical environments to identify issues and implement solutions to mitigate problems
- Monitoring and scaling IS systems to accommodate for growth
- Ensuring systems are kept up to date with latest firmware and software updates
- Planning and executing IS projects
- Building and maintaining accurate system documentation and support procedures
- Researching and testing reoccurring problems, determine anomalies within supported software applications and working with third party support teams
- Architecting and configuring cloud solutions including Google cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft 365
- Designing configuring and regularly testing system backups
- Preparing cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation
- Providing recommendations toward IS roadmap and architecture
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in IT system administration
- Project Management experience
- Experience with PowerShell scripting & Microsoft SQL database language
- Experience designing and managing end user computing
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Ability to summarize findings to determine solutions
- Motivated self-starter with careful attention to detail
- Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology
