Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and pack customer orders for pickup or shipment, ensuring items are accurately picked and package.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the products received.
- Generate shipping labels and schedule pickups with carriers.
- Track and update order statuses in the system.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse to ensure efficient product storage and retrieval.
- Preform regular inventory counts using RF scanners and assist with restocking products on shelves.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or low-stock situations.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex issues, ensuring a seamless customer journey.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Assist in periodic warehouse maintenance activities.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Is punctual and reliable
- Can multi-task and prioritize while under pressure in a busy work environment
- Is detail oriented, highly organized, and accurate
- Has excellent communication skills in English - written and spoken
- Has a cooperative and positive attitude
- Is proficient with computers and familiar with Microsoft Office and Windows enviroment
- Can lift heavy objects (up to23kgs) and operate warehouse equipment safely
- Willing to help with lawn maintenance, snow removal and sidewalk salting
- Willing to work overtime in busy periods
Experience in the following areas is an asset but not a requirement:
- Lift truck certification
- Working at heights certification
- Knowledge of consumer electronics, residential and/or commercial custom installations, wireless and fiber
Conditions:
- 40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday
- Valid Driver's Licence and reliable transportation
- Criminal background check required
