Full job description

Summary of Position in Organization

The Position of Regional Sales Manager entails overseeing, constructing, propelling, and attaining Plymovent's sales in the industrial sector, specifically In Western Canada (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba), in collaboration with the management team and the organization's business strategies (including annual, short-term, and long-term plans).

This position requires dividing time between commercial tasks (such as sales and business development) and technical responsibilities (such as technical design, training, and customer support), with a 70/30 split.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

Effectively achieve sales targets and business development objectives by identifying and managing distribution channels and end-users.

Provide distributor development and support, including conducting sales and training meetings, developing annual business plans, and delivering technical training to distributors.

Collaborate with management to create and execute the annual sales plan and budget while working with technical sales support and customer service/order entry personnel.

Analyze the market and competitive landscape to provide feedback on product, market positioning, and sales strategy.

Develop the A&E market and contractors, building relationships with major A&E companies and increasing awareness of Plymovent as a specified product.

Identify new markets and propose new business opportunities.

Collaborate with marketing to create effective advertising, direct marketing campaigns, and tradeshows to generate sales leads.

Attend key sales events and tradeshows to support and identify opportunities.

Collaborate with product managers and key management to determine market needs, opportunities, and actions.

Work with GM/President and Controller to establish and maintain effective budgetary controls for sales-related initiatives and expenditures.

Formulate reliable annual and rolling sales forecasts for proper demand planning.

Use the Cloud for Customer CRM package to manage accounts and leads, create quotes, and initiate sales campaigns.

Minimum Professional and Educational Requirements

A seasoned professional with five years of experience in business-to-business sales, with a strong preference for the ventilation/filtration/HVAC industry.

Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering discipline would be advantageous.

You have demonstrated my ability to develop and execute tactical sales plans.

You have a proven track record of sales success and solid sales management and marketing experience.

You possess exceptional skills in resource optimization and influencing others internally and externally.

Entrepreneurial-minded, solution-driven, quick learner who can drive business.

Hands-on, self-assured, customer-centric professional with a history of developing long-lasting industry relationships and understanding ROI.

Work independently and as a team player.

Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.

You are able to think strategically and prioritize sales and business development activities.

You possess superb verbal and written communication and excellent presentation skills.
