Job Summary
- Position Title: Tape Edge Operator
- Environment: Manufacturing Facility. This role is under the Union Agreement with the company.
- Location: Scarborough
- Shifts: 8 Hours (day and afternoon shifts available)
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Rate of Pay: $ 17.60/hour to start, rate increase after probation, including incentive pay
- Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities
- Operate sewing machine, corrects any defective taping on mattress.
- Make any necessary sewing machine adjustments and handle basic maintenance of machine.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean orderly condition.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Observe and obey all safety rules, regulations and practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- 1-2 years related work experience.
- Experience working in busy setting warehouse.
- Demonstrated ability to read and follow instructions in English.
- Excellent eye and hand coordination.
- Strong team player but can work independently
- Reliable and punctual.
- Able to stand for long periods of time
