Atlantica’s Finance team is growing! We’re adding a Junior Financial Accountant to our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. At Atlantica, a member of The Cahill Group of companies, we execute commercial and industrial construction projects and services in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

- You have strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft programs, as well as Accounting software (experience with Jonas is an asset)

What will you do as the Junior Financial Accountant?
Reporting to the Director of Finance and working in an exciting and collaborative environment, you will:

Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and associated workpapers for review and submission to stakeholders.
- Reconcile intercompany balances between related parties including divisions, companies, and joint ventures.
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations
- Reconcile and post monthly credit card purchases in general ledger
- Review outstanding Purchase Orders with project managers and close out completed purchase orders
- Address external auditor requests by providing reports, samples, and supporting documentation for requested transactions
- Monitor accounts receivable process, including reviewing and reporting on outstanding balances, communicating with clients and internal parties to facilitate payment and taking credit card payments
- Support accounts payable team as needed
- Other Finance and Accounting duties as assigned
