We are currently hiring for the position of:
TALENT LIAISON
Talent Liaison plays a vital role in executing a world-class guest and talent experience, working with Festival Programming and internal teams to ensure a welcoming and professional experience for attending filmmakers, VIPs, and executives at TIFF 2026 events. The Talent Liaison is responsible for planning and onsite support for guest hospitality, ensuring our talent feels welcomed, informed, and supported. The ideal candidate excels at logistics and planning, and is an exceptional and professional communicator with experience hosting artists and filmmakers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shall include but not be limited to:
Talent Hospitality & Onsite Support
Provide onsite support at Festival Programming events (e.g. filmmaker cocktails and dinners) during Festival; act as a point of escalation for the Festival Programming team stakeholders and talent
Welcome and host filmmakers at TIFF events, as required
Accompany film teams for red carpet photo opportunities and through the red carpet lounge, as required
Event Coordination & Administration
Work with Festival Programming team to manage guest lists and guest logistics for filmmaker events during Festival
Coordinate schedules, book reservations with hospitality partners, and liaise with talent teams as required to schedule Festival Programming events
Provide administrative and logistical support for high-level talent at the TIFF Awards Ceremony and TIFF Tribute Awards including drafting and executing event invitations, managing RSVPs, guest agreements, event itineraries, dietary restrictions, and accessibility needs
Assist with other Festival initiatives and Festival Programming team responsibilities as required
Compile a detailed post-mortem report
JOB GRADE & SALARY:
Job Grade 2
$30/hour
Our salary ranges reflect the range of skills and experience required for the role. Typically, candidates new to the role are positioned up to the midpoint of the range, with progression through the range based on performance and development over time. The top of the salary band is for employees who consistently demonstrate high performance in their role.

Weekly in-office requirements:
Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 3-4 years experience within a Festival or large scale cultural event
Demonstrated experience supporting and hosting high-level artists, filmmakers, talent, and industry members
Familiarity with the film industry and international cinema
Demonstrated organizational, event, and project management skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize
Strong, effective and professional communication and interpersonal skills
Mature personal judgment, exhibiting a high level of professionalism and diplomacy, and ability to handle confidential information
Ability to handle challenging situations and people with a positive, problem-solving attitude
Enjoys fast-paced work environment that requires multi-tasking, a willingness to adapt to shifting priorities and circumstances
Proficient computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Suite
Experience with front of house venue operations and hosting an asset
Experience working on red carpets an asset
Must be able to work onsite, without conflicts between September 10 - 20, 2026. Expect to be active throughout the shifts during August and September. Mostly indoors but some outdoor activity may be required during the Festival - rain or shine.
