TransCare® Community Support Servicesis a charitable not-for-profit corporation dedicated to providing home and community support services for people who need assistance due to illness, convalescence, disability, or functional limitations related to aging. We offer a continuum of services to facilitate independent living, comfortably and safely in the clients’ homes, and in the community.
Primary Purpose:
To provide quality and efficient cleaning services to clients in their primary residence or temporary accommodation.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
· Responsible for making sure all assigned areas of the home are clean, neat, and tidy. This includes any indoor household cleaning and organizing tasks assigned by the client and may regularly include cleaning "projects" (e.g., cleaning and organizing a messy closet, refrigerator or freezer);
· Typical responsibilities include vacuuming, dusting, laundry, dishes, sweeping, mopping and changing/laundering linen and cleaning of bedrooms and bathrooms;
· Empty wastepaper baskets and transport garbage to designated areas or curb;
· Conduct regular reporting on any matters that require home visit or escalation for follow-up;
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Specification: Minimum Knowledge/Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities normally required for competent performance in the job.
· A minimum of grade 10 education level;
· Strong client-service and professional work ethic;
· Strong listening and communication (verbal/written) skills;
· Strong organization skills, problem-solving skills;
· Ability to speak another language an asset;
· Ability to adapt to various environments and working conditions.
