SERVICE DESK ANALYST – CALGARY (CAT)

In your role as a Service Desk Analyst, you will provide technical assistance for employees in both the Calgary Head Office and district bases.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that Trican's core value, "Safe equipment and operations" is the priority in all activities
Assist all employees requiring IT assistance as first point of contact
Setup and maintain employee network accounts
Setup and configure new personal computers such as desktops and notebooks
Decommission computer assets at the end of their lifecycle
Perform standard maintenance on systems
Address daily technical support issues that arise with employees at local, home, office and regional base sites
Participate in an on call weekly rotation for support problems that may arise after office hours
Coordinate all local support issues
Ship and receive computer equipment while ensuring all inventory is in the asset database

Experience & Skills:

Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
Minimum two years experience in desktop support is preferred
Proven customer focus with excellent interpersonal skills
Sound analytical and interpretational skills
Skilled in applying problem-solving techniques
Skilled in verbal and written communication
Ability to prioritize multiple activities with tight deadlines
Ability to work at a fast pace and produce quality work
Ability to be organized and follow a systematic method of performing a task
Proficient with Microsoft Office desktop applications, Microsoft Operating Systems
