Full job description

Westcana Electric Inc. is a leading Western Canadian Electrical Contractor seeking Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians to join our team. We are seeking a driven, reliable team member who will work to exceed clients expectations and perform their tasks in a safe and timely manner.

APPRENTICES ($19.54-$34.97) Rates include RRSP contributions after 30 days of employment

Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical codes.
Participate in wiring, circuit installation, panel upgrades, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations on job sites.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Attend training sessions and complete required coursework for apprenticeship progression.

Skills

Basic understanding of electrical principles and practices.
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in the electrical field.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

JOURNEYMEN (Starting at $39.65) Rates include RRSP contributions after 30 days of employment

Responsibilities:

Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance for residential and commercial projects
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations
Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver high-quality service
Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and effectively

Qualifications:

Journeyman Electrician Red Seal
Experience in both commercial and residential electrical work
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills
