Line Cook - Jess' Sky Restaurant (Experienced)

About Us

Jess Sky is a fast-paced, quality-driven restaurant committed to delivering exceptional food and service. We are seeking experienced Line Cooks who take pride in their craft, work well under pressure, and thrive in a team-oriented kitchen environment.

Position Summary

As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workstation. The ideal candidate has previous line cooking experience, strong attention to detail, and a passion for food.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
Set up and stock stations with necessary ingredients and supplies
Maintain food quality, consistency, and portion control
Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Work efficiently during high-volume service periods
Assist with inventory management and stock rotation (FIFO)
Keep workstations clean and organized throughout each shift
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management
Support other kitchen team members as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of line cook experience in a restaurant, hotel, or similar food service environment
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
