Position Information:
Responsibilities
- Ensures entering of Daily Staffing Sheets into the QHR/payroll system is accurate
- Provides HRIS scheduling support to other departmental schedulers, and acts as the primary resource/back-up for all scheduling
- Prepares Daily Staffing Sheets
- Assists with HRIS system issues or concerns
- Enters and ensures new hire and transfer information is accurate
- Supports and adheres to hospital and payroll policies and procedures
- Assists the payroll department/audits as required
- Maintains good employee, inter-departmental and public relations
- Acts as receptionist for the payroll department, answering inquiries of a general nature, providing assistance in a friendly cooperative manner
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience:
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel level
- Minimum of Ontario Secondary School Diploma required
- Payroll certificate program (minimum of 6 – 12 months in duration)
- Minimum of three months related experience (in a hospital Payroll/Scheduling functions preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling functions.
- Familiar with hospital union contracts- ONA, UNIFOR SERVICE, UNIFOR CLERICAL,
- Computer application skills
- Maintain confidentiality
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle a large volume of work
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to deal congenially with a variety of people and operate effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Ability to think logically
- Self-motivated
- Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence
Salary Range: $29.52/hr - $33.23/hr
