In general it’s not the worst company but the turnover rate has quickly grown since upper management refuse to fairly compensate staff for the work they do. For most staff pay barely covers cost of living, however staff are expected to work mentally demanding positions. They passively promise pay raises but don’t follow through and rather let go of staff who attempt to address the issue. There is a lack of communication and transparency from management. Often not enough structure in order for operations to run smoothly. Staff are pressured and expected to be fully invested in the company, stay late to get things done, etc, with little compensation in return. The work environment is okay, but without HR, things can get messy. Communication is often passive aggressive and unprofessional. Often times vague as well. 
Some policies are made and tweaked as they go, and the grey areas can be a cause for confusion and stress. 
This company has potential to be great but working for them can be a stressful and disheartening experience.  Would be a good job for someone who is self sufficient as management is not always supportive. 
Go for it if you need the experience, but stay detached enough that it won’t slowly chip away at your soul.
