Breakthrough Autism is an amazing company that listens to their staff and encourages professional development. After having struggled to build my career in the ABA field for several months, I was referred to Breakthrough by my professor. Since my first interview, the management at Breakthrough has continuously taken the time to listen to me and my professional goals. They have been extremely supportive of these goals and consistently check-in with me for supervision to provide me with feedback on my work and to address any concerns I may have. It goes without saying that management has provided me with many opportunities to develop my skills as a professional, including the opportunity to collect hours for the BCBA certification. They also provide free RBT training and continuously foster professional growth in their staff through opportunities within the company and by encouraging them to take continuing education courses.

Breakthrough also cares about the well-being of their staff. As mentioned before, the supervisors consistently check-in with the staff to address any concerns they may have. If staff feel unwell, management immediately arranges other staff to cover for the session so the staff who is feeling unwell is able to go home right away. They don’t ask questions and respect the privacy of their staff.

While they do ask their staff to sign a one-year contract, this appears to be the norm in the ABA field. I’ve had many interviews and received offers from multiple agencies, all of which required me to sign a one-year contract as well. I’ve been enjoying my time at Breakthrough very much and absolutely do not regret signing the contract at all.

Overall, my experience at Breakthrough has been nothing short of amazing. They value their staff and continue to help them strive to become better as professionals.

Working at Breakthrough has been an incredible experience. This company is dedicated to the professional growth of their staff and is a great place to start if you're looking to learn more about the field of ABA. At Breakthrough, you are able to gain plenty of experience and have many opportunities to advance in your career. The supervisors are supportive and are willing to go out of their way to help you with your professional goals. Since working at Breakthrough, I have had the chance to be mentored by many of the supervisors and have been given many opportunities for career advancement. When I started, I had 0 knowledge of ABA. Breakthrough is where I learned many valuable skills to be successful in this field. Everyday is different and just like any other position in this field, it does require flexibility and some days can be more challenging than others. It really helps that there is always someone to support you if you need it and the difference you see in the kids make it totally worth it. 

Breakthrough Autism is a great place to work at.  I started there as an Instructor after graduating from my undergrad.  It was my first job working with kids with autism and doing ABA.  All of my co-workers were friendly and management was supportive.  Whenever I had a question or concern, my supervisor helped me.  My supervisor also met with me to complete performance evaluations.  After a few months of working there, I was able to get my RBT certification.  
At the centre, there are different classrooms to work with clients in and a cute playground outside for them to play in. 
Overall the work culture was positive and I was able to advance my professional career.  
I highly recommend Breakthrough Autism as a place work at for anyone who's interested in gaining valuable experience working with kids with autism using ABA.  

Working at Breakthrough Autism part-time was a great experience while I completed my psych undergrad. Management truly understood the "student-employee" balance, providing a supportive environment that didn't just feel like a job, but a career-building experience.

The clinical work was incredibly rewarding; seeing a child master a new skill through the power of ABA was inspiring. 

What sets this team apart is the culture—my coworkers were genuinely friendly, and the management team made an effort to keep things fun with events like group Halloween costumes and game nights. My supervisor was approachable and supportive, so I felt comfortable reaching out whenever I had a question or concern.

I started at Breakthrough Autism as a new college graduate. It was my first full-time job after I finished school. From my first day, I had such a great supervisor and I loved working with the clients. It was amazing to see everything the clients I worked with learned. Some days were tough but it was worth it and someone was always there to help. The management team and other Instructors were so nice and helpful when I needed it. 
I also really liked the fun staff events, like bowling parties and pot-luck lunches.
I didn’t know much about ABA before Breakthrough. I just started my Bachelor of Behaviour Science degree this Fall and it’s all thanks to what I learned at Breakthrough. What a great place to work and learn!

If you're a new IT or don't have much knowledge about ABA and autism, you should know it's a VERY tough job and not for everyone. The initial few weeks/months were the hardest because you'll deal with challenging behaviours that can be really stressful. The one year contract either forces you to push yourself to extremes or breaks you. But, throughout all the challenges there was always a supportive and helpful team around me which I am very grateful for. There were always BCBAs, lead therapists or other ITs nearby to call for help and they'll come rushing over. They give client specific training and if you still arent confident you can ask for more support. I know alot of people say the kids were the best part of the job, but for me it was the team that was the best part of the job.

The management really needs to work on the job culture more and give more incentives for staff to stay. The overall location is very small, you will often times need to eat lunch on the floor, days are very hectic and overwhelming , you will need to be prepared for your days to change within minutes. Salary is very hard to live off of, but the experience is great. You will also need to stay a year or you need to pay out of the contract which I though was very unfair. I have never seen so many staff walk in and out of those doors like I have here. All in all management needs work but the experience was good and the kids and staff were amazing.

Working at Breakthrough Autism has been an amazing experience for me. The team and BCBAs here are incredibly supportive, always willing to help. One thing I really appreciate is the numerous opportunities for professional growth. There are different supervisory positions you can work towards, which shows they value internal development. The training and experience I've gained here have been crucial in my career development. Overall, Breakthrough Autism is a great place to work if you're looking to grow in the field and make a meaningful impact.

Breakthrough Autism is a great place to work. I first came into the position  knowing very little about ABA. I was able to learn a lot. I also liked that there was lots of opportunities for professional development. They offered to pay for my RBT certification and now I am thinking about pursuing my BCBA hours. I have been given opportunities to do parent coaching with families. 

It's a high energy environment with lots of friendly staff and supportive supervisors. Lots of training is provided when working with the kids. 

Overall, it's a fun place to work and to gain lots of experience. 

This company gave me my best employment experience to date. The supervisors were always there to help and support me. A tremendous amount of training opportunities were offered. There is a ton of room for advanced because there are assistant lead and lead jobs on top of the Clinical Coordinator jobs. The work environment is fun and at the same time everyone is dedicated the children's learning. The number one mission of this company is to help the kids and everyone is dedicated to this. It felt good to make a difference on a daily basis.
