DEER RIDGE GOLF CLUB

To begin, you have to wake up early, thats like the number one thing. If you can wake up for a 5-5:30am shift then everything else will be all good. The managers are great, everyone is really easy going and you can have a good conversation with anyone. This was my second job  and I couldnt ask for anything better. You will work early shifts that will ensure that you get the rest of the day off. The pay is decent for the work and you will be outside the entire day. You can get perks like free golf on certain days, so if this appeals to you, then it works out. Discounts at the proshop as well.  This is a great job that I would reccomend to anyone, I even got my buddy to work here and he loves it. 

Working at Deer Ridge is definitely a treat! You get lots of hands on experience related to the Golf industry, and don't ever feel like you're left in a lurch. Good way to get familiar with a Point of Sale system, and improve your customer service/interpersonal skills. Would definitely recommend!

Over all its a good place to work, if your looking for a seasonal job. Management is unreliable and don't care much about staff. The place is wildly unorganized. You will not get paid for stat days and if you want to return the following year you will need to reapply no matter how good a job you may have done. There is always the free food to look forward to...Meh!

the menu had many options from pizza and fry food to grilled salmon entrees. the atmosphere was friendly and the members were polite and easy to serve. The different managers were great people to work for. The job security was weak, wanting to return the next season is not guaranteed all the time, especially for part-time employees in the kitchen.

Fun place to work.  Unfortunately there were constant issues with pay such as hours being shorted and not given time and a half on holidays.  These issues would occur almost every paycheque.   It’d be a great spot to work if you didn’t have to closely monitor your hours and keep on the manager to get your full paycheque.

I learned many things about how to work with people, what to do under stressful conditions, how to order and take inventory.
Throughout the summer, we worked under hot temperatures, quickly changed plans when the time arose, and sometimes dealt with unruly patrons

Great place to work if you like being outside early in the morning. Daily tasks are physically demanding and require excellent attention to detail. Management can be challenging at times.

The managers are extremely friendly, patient, and knowledgeable in the field which creates a very comfortable atmosphere for employees. The job (turf maintenance) is physically demanding and rewarding.

Overall the time spent working here was enjoyed. gained lots of valuable knowledge and work experience. became so much better at time management and working more quickly and efficiently.

Family owned and operated. Lots of different things to learn, unreal benefits, great staff. It's like one big family there. Sad to leave season but excited to start up every year.
