I have worked at Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club for more than 10 years and I have never experienced such welcoming company I have ever encountered.
Coming to work felt like going to a very familiar place where there were comfort and assurance of having a productive day. The managements were very supportive and very open to communicate with everybody. My co-workers became my friends and confidants when I was employed at Dundas Valley. The hardest part of my job was telling the customer that they had enough to drink in that time. The most enjoyable part of my job was meeting other people from the member's guest(s) to individuals just attending outside functions held in the club premises.

Dundas Valley is what you would expect from a 90 year old club.  They have a wonderful setting for golf, curling and dining.  The work environment is one of professional service supplied by a fun and interesting community of folks that enjoy taking care of the members and guests.  There are plenty of entry points for work as a younger person in golf, golf course, facilities and dining and events.  Those that are looking for a career should note Dundas Valley has many employees with 20+ years of tenure.  Simply, a good club owned by great members.

Management was callous, and you will not be assigned shifts if you aren't best buddies with the managers. Carmens has zero regard for the welfare of the employees, and while I was there 5 cooks walked out of the kitchen at the same time. I was lied to about my position in order for them to use me wherever they wanted throughout my time there. The members were the only reason I stayed, absolutely fantastic people. 
I do not recommend serving here. Throughout the summer, the typical server lasted 1 - 2 weeks. 
If you aren't interested in flirting with your manager in order to gain advancement in the workplace, then this job isn't for you.

I worked at Dundas Valley in the Greens department so I was outside all day, which I absolutely loved. The job kept me fit and the people I worked with, including management, were all very lovely. I also helped out with horticulture and I have learned a lot about maintaining gardens and of course, grass. An amazing perk includes a golf membership while working there, which motivated me to actually learn how to golf and enjoy it! The hardest part of the job was waking up at 4:15am for a couple of months, however, seeing the gorgeous sunrise every morning shining above the beautiful course made it worth it. 10/10 would do again.

I've had the pleasure of working two season's at Dundas Valley on their Green's Crew. It has been one of the most fulfilling and rewarding jobs that I've experienced. Further, management is extremely admirable for the atmosphere they create.

The property is one of the most beautiful pieces of land in the Hamilton area. It is a rare opportunity to work in such a beautiful landscape. There are frequent sightings of deer and turkey, with the occasional coyote.

I genuinely enjoyed working here. The staff worked so well together, management was so friendly and very involved and hands on. You get paid gratuities on every pay, and golf tournaments would occasionally be cash only so cash tips were always amazing. Overall great experience

Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club is such a great place to work whether you are a student, young adult, retiree etc... It is an absolutely gorgeous location with a beautiful clubhouse facility.The membership are very friendly and kind people and the current staff are great to work along side as well.

If you love to play golf and live the golf lifestyle, this job isn't that bad. I enjoyed that a lot as golfing is a big part of my life, but the workers there are rude people who shouldn't be working anything with actual customers they see face to face.

It’s a hood summer job but I would say it’s a bit underpaying for the work, you get paid the least out of all the employees but kinda have the most physically demand labour. All and all the people are nice and they treat you well.

Great food and Members are great. 
Understaffed quite often.
Benefits are good.
Clean work space
High turnover of staff
Half price staff meals
Golf if your a golfer.
