DUZ CHO CONSTRUCTION

i started at duzcho as a 4th year apprentice. seemed like a good place for a while. was running a service truck and loved it. they fired the guy that was providing the truck and it was all down hill from there. back stepping and shuffling around the plan to get me into another one. fast forward even more i received my red seal and was promised a raise for months and never got one on top of getting my shift and hours cut 

I was given alot of opportunities in the slower times . This is where I became more safety conscious at work. They paid well especially with allowances fuel and travel pay. 

Start Time:6:00 AM.  12 hr shift.  Operating heavy equipment.  loading haul trucks.
Learned how to build dams.
Management and staff were good to work with.
All employees were good to work with and there was respect shown toward the other employees.
Most enjoyable part of the job was operating heavy equipment.

Supervisor was very welcoming, office staff were organized,  and employees were easy to get along with. I have worked at different sites but this role was exciting. Hardest part of the job was the travel.  The hotel they put me in was the best so far for LOA.

good place to work when they have it. god benefits and work rotations, great staff, really enjoyed working with and learning about, working different fields of operating from mining to oil and gas.

False promises most enjoyable part is not working there no appreciation for employees . They don’t care and don’t have a team spirit. I don’t care or want anything to do with the company.

Duz Cho is a smaller construction company that focuses on logging and mining in the BC interior.  The wages were lower than industry average but not by much, no travel allowance but not a bad place to work.

Must be good, I'm still employed. If your good at what ya do then you shouldn't have a problem. Fine and dandy just like candy. There's the good days and the bad. Slow days and the fast. 

Typical day would contain

pre trip check list
day routine-point a to point b..round trip
at end of shift, the paperwork for the day
fueling up machine

Wonderful bunch of people makes for a safe company to work towards goal zero. Great work place culture. Management was awesome. Great place to work.....
