I took my position here for granted, and I regret the terms under which I exited this job. There was terrific oppourtunity for an inexperienced person such as myself to make a decent living here and I largely squandered it.

That said, those under which I had worked would likely have grinded me down or pushed me to a breaking point. As soon as I had made one mistake, the eyes (particularly of one person) were endlessly awaiting and practically instigating the next issue. I hope, for the sake of the regular customers who obviously disliked them, that person is no longer at Delta.

In general, the place was rather mismanaged but not under any assumptions of malice or ill intent. There's a reason they gave a fool like me a chance.

In short, the hours were tough but I got used to them. The job was tough at times but I was good at it, and at the end of the day/morning I left ultimately fulfilled. I worked with some wonderful people, and the sour people overhadowed it, but I would give just about anything for another chance to work there at this point - and I'm pretty sure the old customers would too...

I had a lot of fun working for Delta Bingo and Gaming for my first 3 years there, but when we had to limit what we could offer customers due to covid it became an energy draining experience. We were on high alert following every little detail of the Covid protocols that we weren't customer service oriented anymore. Fun became taboo as well, we weren't allowed to stand within 6 feet of our favourite customers or coworkers. I made more money as a CSR making tips than I did as a Manager with a lot more responsibilities to the company. A companies management team should feel well taken care of but the small pittance of a raise given to move up in this company is not worth the extra stress. When a Manager only makes $1.50 more than an entry level position, it leaves a lot to be desired unfortunately. Maybe after covid is done and over with the atmosphere will pick back up and become a desirable place to work again. Fingers crossed. 

The majority of staff (kitchen management, runners and front-office workers) will act one way to your face and then another way behind your back, quick to spread rumors and spread distrust. Kitchen management has a rapid turnover rate due to low wages, irrational and contemptuous upper-management, and corruption at the highest levels. There is no stability with schedules, as days on/off or hours worked can be altered less than 24 hours prior to a shift.  There is no protection or support from management with regard to hostile and aggressive customer behaviors. 

Also, the place is infested with cockroaches. All levels of management are aware of the infestation of cockroaches being found in a customer's hot chocolate/french vanilla coffee as well as walking around the hot counter containing muffins and pizza slices, yet the workers are being forced to sell the food and serve drinks while no food safety is being addressed.

Stay away from this location!

Sessions run generally for 2.5 hours and a typical shift entails assisting in the operation of 2 or more sessions. (typically 6-8 hours in total). It is your standard Customer Service job except that due to the nature of it being within a gambling environment, most transactions are cash based and some math may be required.

It is a fairly relaxed work environment where you work in tandem as part of the team to provide a great customer experience for the patrons. 

The hardest part of the job is going from a complete standstill/walk to running across the hall in a matter of seconds as well as constantly being on your feet for the duration of your shift. I highly recommend purchasing very comfortable and supportive footwear (especially designed for walking).

The most enjoyable part of the job is talking to and getting to know the customers that consistently regularly attend as well as teaching new people the rules of the game.

What is the best part of working at the company?
It was way too easy. I was over qualified for this job and had that used against me by management as if i was trying to belittle others because i found it to be a easy, straight forward job. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Other staff. And management. Management will defend someone being verbally and physically agressive to you and sit there and tell ypu its ypur fault for standing up for yourself after its become an issue in the workplace. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
People will talk behind your back and make rude comments to you and nothing is dome about it. This establishment allows workplace bullies to thrive. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I got bullied by a coworker more days then not. And when management got involved i was deemed to be the issue even tho theynwere the ones being nasty and mean.

Loved the job, fairly easy to get a hang of. Customers were sometimes impatient but overall really nice and wonderful. Sometimes hard to keep track of which nights have which special prizes.

Management however can be very two-faced. Kept getting praised over and over, until a few days before my probation period ended and it suddenly was not a "good fit" for me.

Zero warnings, zero talks to say I need improvement anywhere, nothing to indicate whatsoever that I may not make it past my three months probation. Scheduled to learn a new position then let go just days before the training began.

I honestly loved the job, and really enjoyed the people I worked with. I am absolutely devastated and appalled to have been let go so suddenly with no warning whatsoever when everything seemed so fantastic.

it's a joke, higher up management doesn't care about their staffs security or well being. Session Managers get special treatment, the pay is horrible for all the mental and physical stress it puts on you. Management is very two faced. The only good thing is making friends with some of your co-workers. 
If you aren't apart of the main circle it can make your shifts a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend this place on my worst enemy. EXPECT TO MEET A LOT OF BINGO KARENS!! They also tend to "forget" to pay people for all their hours worked on their pay check. 
Management also tend to spend half their time hiding on their phones, but you get caught on your phone once you get in trouble and all the managers talk behind your back. 


Tbh, it’s okay to a point. Customers are downright awful, entitled human beings. Literally cannot stand them. Some are okay, some not. Even if what they’re getting is something as simple as free water, they’ll still shriek and have a bossy hissy fit if there’s no ice and even if there are paying customers in a line they demand to have it fixed right that instant. It can also be extremely slow. Don’t believe anyone who says it’s a job where it’s all fast. Only take it if you can stand temporary stressful periods and then sit and be told to find something to do that counts as work for an hour when you’ve already done everything you can.

Really unreliable coworkers sometimes... usually people just looking to make quick money, throw all of the responsibility onto someone else and then quit without two weeks notice.

The job itself is awesome - fun coworkers and customers, relaxed atmosphere, good pay and work-life balance - but the management sucks. There is no full-time there, so don’t expect any more than 3-4 (4-8 hour) shifts a week. They require you to pay $160 for training that’s “reimbursed,” but later deduct this amount once you leave (regardless of how long you’ve worked there). Smart Serve is NOT an optional training, they’ll require you to get it after your first month there and will give out 30 day suspensions back-to-back until you do. Management is never satisfied and will always yell at employees for absolutely anything.

Typical day would consist of arriving for your assigned shift Night or Day, working at your assigned station and then on the floor. Work culture is pretty toxic. Most of the staff are nice but some of the senior managers create a toxic environment, engage in gossip and spread false information about those they do not like. No job security. At the end of 3 months they let go of those they don't like and hire a new batch.  Hardest part is there is no fixed schedule, schedules constantly change and not properly notified so you could end up not showing up or coming for wrong shift. Not enough shifts given, poor tips.
