I can only speak from my specific position within the company!
Pros: I really like my manager, which is one of the main reasons I stay with this job. The work-life balance is also amazing, there is so much flexibility in scheduling your time. I also appreciate that the company and people I work with really do feel a strong sense of purpose in their jobs, which is great to see.

Cons: Benefits could be improved- one small lump sum amount to spend the entire year? A job within the health care industry should be providing more benefits to their employees.. the health authorities provide way better benefits.  Pay is another con. For similar positions elsewhere, they are paying up to 10k more per year, so it's not the best. Another con is lack of advancement opportunities. In the past year, I have seen one position that I was eligible for, so it's a slooowwww road if you want to advance. 

Again, this is just my position, maybe other positions pay better, but I'm not sure. Overall, I would recommend!

I've enjoyed being here for the last few years. Everyone is quite friendly, my managers have been supportive. The part of the job I don't like is entitled members who seem to increasingly treat staff like "the help" rather than valuable colleagues/partners. 

If you are looking for a place that offers great work/life balance, this place is for you.  It's a high paced environment with new projects popping up all over.  You can feel good about your job because you always see the results of your work and the important part it plays to doctors and the organization.

I can only speak for my department specifically, but I have an amazing boss and the team is supportive and really fun to work with. Everyone cares a lot about the work they do and it's really inspiring. I hope to stay with them long term.

culture of fear and control. Zero accountability for management. HR not to be trusted. Staff have nowhere to go with concerns. Micromanagement, harsh call-outs for minor mistakes, no opportunity for moving anywhere.

Great place to work with amazing benefits. Management is a bit laid back and not very rewarding. There is definitely a lot of bias treatment and it is extremely challenging to get recognition.

Company keeps changing its policies and program structure. It is a very political place. Job advancement opportunities are very limited unless you are on the right team with a good manager. 

Doctors of Bc is an organization that respects diversity and equality. Everybody is very helpful and supportive each other. Management is very good. You get to enjoy work/life balance

I have worked at Doctors of BC, formerly BCMA, for 5 yrs and consider my position with them one of the most rewarding in my long career.

I really enjoy working for Doctors of BC, they are a great company and I would give them a great review to any one looking for a job with this company
