This company sells itself as a well run, family oriented company. They make it seem like they are well established. It has so many problems. Staff turn over is quite high. 

Management:
Some clinic managers are excellent, however they have no authority to do anything. Everything is dictated from Ontario, some of the clinic managers are rarely in the office 
Head office is poorly organized.They are based in Ontario, they have no idea what goes on in Alberta 
They change policy way too frequently
They put budget above employee safety
Takes months to get an answer on anything, they're always "working on it"

Benefits/time off:
Terrible benefits, you pay out of pocket for coverage. It's mandatory unless you have proof of other active coverage
You get no sick days (in Alberta)
You given minimal vacation time when you are first employed. What you are given is only eligible after one year of employment.

Raises/advancements:
They do not give their employees raises 
There are no advancements
You are constantly working outside business hours (even though they sell it to you as very rarely)
There is no staff appreciation 

Marketing/sales:
Poorly run
Surrounding businesses do not know what this company is
They make unreasonable promises to clients 
They're more concerned about revenue

Office equipment:
Rarely works
Out of date
Unreliable 
Office environment is out of date and dirty

Overall, if you like being lied to, over worked and underpaid then sure this is a great place.
If you want a company that is well run, and cares about their employees then you need to look elsewhere.

I am a current employee of DriverCheck over 3 years and love my job! It is an energizing place to work, with many learning opportunities.  Which shines through with the staff. The co-workers are a great bunch of people. There is always room for advancement. The Supervisors always take the time to speak with you.  It is a great open door policy.  
All training is provided for the different services offered at the clinic.  Hours are great Monday-Friday. If you are looking for a dynamic place to work, with fantastic co-workers DCC has it all!! From the owners to my Supervisor-you are treated like family!! It is refreshing to work with a company that is so committed to the well being of their employees. 
My supervisors and Team Lead have provided me with honest feedback in my reviews. This has allowed me to grow professionally and apply for other positions within the company and that in itself is incredible.
DriverCheck has an awesome culture and I am proud to be part of it!

This is a very poor managed company.

Clinic supervisors have zero authority to make any decisions, it's all dictated by head office in Ontario.
Alberta employees have no sick days, you are only entitled to vacation after one year. The benefits are terrible, you pay out of pocket for that.
There is no room for advancement. They just throw more work at you with no extra pay. You basically do the job of 2 or more people.
They say overtime is rare, but that's not the case when it's busy. 
They put budget over employee safety.
There is rarely any staff appreciation, unless you work in Ontario. 
They ask for input on how to improve things, but no suggestions are ever taken seriously. 
They sell it as a well run, family oriented company, that's not the case. 


If you are looking for a long term stable employer, look else where.

This place is always hiring. Constant turnover. They have a weird way of picking applicants only to fire them shortly after. Work culture can be toxic here, very "cliquey", and the guy who does the hiring was awful at his job. I had to chase him to even get the interview, because he said he would call and then he didn't! Talk about a time waster.

What they don't tell you is you have to be on call for Sundays, and if you don't do everything exactly the way they tell you to do it (no matter if its incorrect) you will get reprimanded. They also tried to put me on a different job than I was hired for, but told me NOT to learn it as I was only going to do it temporarily? How does that make sense, do this but don't do a good job at it? Laughable. 

Always be aware of places that are always hiring, there's a reason for it!

Highly do not recommend applying to this company. The work environment is essentially a microcosm of the high school bully and clique mentality. The pay is terrible. There is no support from management, and you are exploited by the upper management team who promotes “family” values, aka wants YOU to be loyal but they do not return the favour.

The pay is abysmal, you are micromanaged to the second, there is no training provided. Most people working in the booking department have been there for less than 2 years and their turnover rates are ridiculously high; that should tell you all you need to know about the company. 

This company is not for people who are looking for a career. It is full of people who lack ambition, and are only at drivercheck until they find a better job. 

Look ANYWHERE else.

DC is an amazing place to work. How the leadership presents and draws you into the mission every day will ensure you are always inspired. There is a culture of inclusiveness and togetherness that is very unique in this company. The leadership is also very supportive and invested in your success at DC. It's the only company where you know that you will speak to the Owner/President at least once and other key stakeholders on multiple occasions. If you invest yourself into the work, you are sure to grow as a professional. There is a FAMILY culture, but do not be mistaken that DC is well established in their industry. I love my role currently and would recommend working at DC for anyone who would ask for my opinion.

In the agent department no support with difficult tasks

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Family atmosphere, very caring upper management - the owner messages you on your birthday and they make you fell like part of the family. The clinic atmosphere is hectic but the days go really quick and you have a variety of tasks to complete.


What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Most days int he clinic where busy and hectic but well organized and flowed smoothly. Their virtual positions at=re well planned - except there is very little support if you have a complex situation you are dealing with.

If management does not like you, they often ignore your messages while they respond to other employees in your team faster. Previous manager would ignore messages sent by the nursing staff and only replied to the program assistants even though they would give the nurses, new nurses to train without warning. 

Except for that, Drivercheck is good if you have good coworkers. They allow you to grow in the company to become team leads or even more to different departments. The founder of the company and his children are amazing people that you may meet while working at Drivercheck. It's very FAMILY-oriented so make sure you are not the black sheep in the good and be interactive and sociable. 

the culture is genuine, the management team wants to improve engagement and are certainly taking steps to do that they are INCLUDING the staff in that process which is amazing! I can see how my daily work contributes to the entire organization success, i do feel that i play an important role. We can see they are making a concerted effort to close the gap between Alberta and Ontario.

My supervisors and managers have provided me with honest feedback and allowed me to grow professionally and that in itself is amazing.

The work can be demanding but with all the initiatives, incentives and positive feedback about my performance I want to give it my all. I am proud to work for DriverCheck Inc.

When I was hired on by Drivercheck it began with miscommunication immediately. I went into their office in Fort McMurray, Alberta and no one had a clue I was coming in… it was coordinated by admin in Ontario whom did not give the office I arrived at any information. 
There is no room for advancement within this company, zero benefits and an unbelievable amount of drama between most coworkers. 
The only way you’ll hear from management is if you’re hearing conversations down the grapevine. 
Over the past year that I did work with Drivercheck, I have seen dozens of employees quit due to lack of communication from supervisors and failed promises when I worked with this company.
