Working here has been a rewarding and insightful experience.  

Each day begins with preparing course materials and ensuring everything is ready to deliver engaging and effective lessons. Teaching the class is the highlight of the day, as it allows you to connect with students and see their progress firsthand.  

The role has taught me valuable skills, including how to effectively teach children and manage course materials in a structured and efficient manner. These experiences have been instrumental in my personal and professional growth.  

The management team is incredibly supportive, always looking for ways to utilize your strengths and help you excel. They foster an environment where you feel valued and empowered.  

The workplace culture is one of kindness and care. Everyone is supportive, creating a collaborative atmosphere that makes you feel like part of a team working towards a shared goal.  

The hardest part of the job is the unpredictability when students drop classes. This can lead to cancellations, resulting in fluctuating schedules and lost hours. While the staff makes an effort to provide alternative classes, it’s not always possible to recover all lost hours, which can be frustrating.  

The most fulfilling aspect of the job is seeing students succeed. Watching their hard work pay off and knowing you played a part in their achievements makes everything worthwhile.  

Overall, it’s a fulfilling role with its ups and downs, but the supportive environment and the joy of teaching make it a truly rewarding experience.

Fast paced multitasking environment and educated work place. Studied a lot there and build solid work ethic and strong admin/office skills. A typical day at Elite will be fast and busy. Preparing coffee and tea and setting up the classrooms for the day;welcoming visiting students and parents and conducting tests and consultation; preparing daily material for students and instructors; answering phone calls and handling payments; end of day bookkeeping.There will also some other assignments like weekly learning workshop which everyone working at the campus take turns to give presentation reviewing the industry update. It's a very challenging work there, which multitasking skills really matter!  Not only require fast and accurate, but also require pay attention to details and strong organizing skills and team works.

As an education institute, the atmosphere in the workplace is friendly. However, little guidence is given on how to manage classes you are assigned. Your workload will depend on how much effort you put in to keep up with your student's progresses. Workload could easily become overwhelming because there isn't a definite line on how far you should provide guidance/support, but you will definitely get recognized by instructors and parents if you put in a lot of effort. Unfortunately, you might also get burdened with all other miscellaneous administrative tasks if other staffs do not put their efforts in as well. Not much room for advancement. 

I worked for Elite for a year and I would have to say it is pretty much a Mickey Mouse organization. When I worked there, I did not get many hours and the work schedule was not regular and consistent. Also, the manager asked me if I could continue working there and promised to wait for my response before making a decision to hire another teacher. Unfortunately, the manager was trigger happy and made the decision before I could get a chance to reply to the email. 

The teachers at Elite are severely underpaid and are expected to do a lot of work for their lowball salaries. I would not recommend anyone to work at this school, unless they don't care about their salaries.

Most teaching jobs are part-time during evenings and weekends, making these jobs most suitable for teachers who are in school or just want a side job. Elite staff works hard to adjust the schedule to suit teachers as well as students. Teachers can take time off to complete a thesis or study for Bar exams without losing their jobs. Students are encouraged to work and improve with a focus on skills development and not just test scores. Classes are small (under 6 students) to allow for individualized attention.

Work is paid hourly, but marking, reports, and other duties are off-hours and compensated only at 10% of teaching hours, which is completely unrealistic. Stated wage is acceptable, but given extracurricular expectations amounts to barely more than minimum wage. There is no training other than an hour or so of observing another class and no orientation. New hires learn about requirements for daily and monthly reports only through email "reminders" of things they've never been told. The people are nice, but the system is chaotic.


Great place to pick up some work in-between a busy schedule. If you read the materials ahead of time and invest in becoming familiar with the class structure, you can find a lot of time to make a big difference in the learning of your students. Co-workers will help you out, though collaboration isn't facilitated. Communicate with the admin staff once you've shown you can be reliable and you will find opportunities to personalize your class to the student's needs.

Elite is a solid after school prep college. The management is the best part of the job. The worst part, as with any such industry, is the insecurity of hours. The changing enrollment controls the number of classes.
The curriculum is well developed, but could use some improvement.

finish work late at night. If you usually sleep late, it is okay. If you have kids to take care, it is not suitable for you. I started to work here because I like meeting people, but I resigned because of meeting people. If you have secondary school kids, you can learn a lot.
