The company is doing pretty well compared to other ethnic grocery stores in the market. Founded by a small group of Korean immigirants 13 years ago, it now has expanded to 5 locations in the GTA area. The corporate culture has also evolved slowly to a more localized Canadian business, while maintaining its strong Korean identity. Better to be interested in Korean food culture to work here, speaking a second language would be an asset.

Has a strong Korean culture. Workload is moderate. Workflow a bit messy that you have to find your own way. Supportive coworkers, but mainly speak little English, which makes it a bit challenging for non-Korean speaking employees.

If you've never had a job before Galleria is a great place to start. However the management is very old school and depending managers are very biased. If they like you they will take care of you, if they don't then goodluck. There is a high turnover rate so it is very much a temporary type of place to work. 

• Cut, trim, bone and grind meats, such as beef, pork, and poultry to prepare meat in cooking form
• Use sales forecasting or strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, and moni toring market trends
• Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties
• Evaluate the financial aspects of product, such as budgets, expenditures, and prof- it-loss projections

I worked here about month and half,
just typical grocery store work, not hard to learn, only few things to memorize, co workers are good people.
It was good experience. I worked overnight shift, the store is 24hrs so sometimes you may encounter some stranger between 2~4 am.

You get to learn a lot on the logistics of grocery stores. I was lucky to work with coworkers that pleasant to work with but there are definitely people there that do not deserve the positions that they are in.

- Helped out all around the store, helping the cashier pack grocery, return refunded items, stock shelves, clean food court, manage the parking lot
- time management, communication, multi-tasking skills needed

2 scheduls for one month is posted.
With advance request, the company always tried to adjust shift schedules and every teammates was trying to help each other.

Although I worked there for part time, everyone who I worked with treated me like their family. They support your lunch and you get store discount as well, in general very welcoming place to work as a student. 

Korean cultural style workplace. They engage you to be productive and efficient worker. Every your coworker will be kind to you and helpful. Especially, the workplace is clean.
