I have been with HME for the past 2 and a half years and have enjoyed every moment. We have a fast-paced environment which focuses heavily on problem solving to make our client's lives more enjoyable. I have learned a multitude of knowledge in different fields such as Customer Service, Rehab Equipment adjustments and set ups, and Sales which have each been extremely valuable. The management and colleagues are supportive, funny, and understanding which makes for a pleasant, flowing work environment! The most difficult part of the job would be seeing client's in tough situations, though the most enjoyable part would be seeing their faces light up upon finding the right equipment for their independence and comfort.

Don't waist your time. I've worked at other mobility companies and this place is so dead you will die of boredom. Get ready to sweep the warehouse floor daily and constant rearranging of stock.. that never sells. If you dont kiss the arogant managers but like the other technician, you're gone. These guys are looking for a new driver/tech every 6 months and are on here constantly. They will make you sign a "contract" stating that they can fire without cause or compensation for a year. I had to take them to a hearing to get my severance pay and was successful. 

I started HME about 1.5 years ago, and has been really life changing. I am based out of Richmond, and handle corporate programs. I have been so impressed with the company and the growth - HME treats its people well with great salaries, profit sharing plan, RRSP matching, benefits and even health saving accounts.

Management is tough but fair - no issues here. HME is a place to work hard and get ahead and grow your career  - industry is fast paced and growing. No lay offs have ever occurred at this company!

I have been with different companies though out my career and I am grateful to be part of the HME team.  It is a growing company which means there is place for you to grow and shine. Most important, we work with amazing customers who need assistance with medical equipment and we really make a difference. 


If you enjoy hands-on work, helping the elderly/people with needs, and travelling to client’s homes/job sites within the GVA, this is a great company to work for as an Install Team Member. Everyday, you’re doing something different from the day before, as no installation jobs are exactly the same. There’s some labour work and heavy lifting from time to time, but you’ll learn new skills on the job and there’s a great potential for growth within the company. If you put in the effort, do quality work and expand your work knowledge, you will be rewarded!

I have been with HME for six months now; overall experience is great so far. I have learned a great deal of experience, absolutely an awesome place to work and learn. Collaborative work is key to the work environment. Nice, friendly, and knowledgeable coworkers, you can really learn a lot from them. HME always values hard work, dedication and good work.

Fast paced, very professional , there is always a room to grow - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Flexible company no stress, only the rate is low and you need to carry heavy equipment

Moving for location to another and meet customers fix their stair lift

Culture at HME is super fun and the work is rewarding. I wish they had more to offer in terms of benefit coverage, but I really love the set schedule and open approach of my managers. Anyone can complain about their wage at any job and negative reviews always tend to be jaded people who cant get over little things. I advocate for HME, its a great place to work. 

HME is a well established company in the home medical team - I work in the sales department. This is a fast paced and growing company - the team works hard, but is highly awarded. The company has excellent internal training programs (HME university) and low turnover. 

Staff are treated well and we have great managers (all promoted from within HME)

I have been working as a tech at HME for the last 3 years and really impressed - company has a great staff and nice industry.

HME pays well, and offers an employee profit sharing plan - while the workload can be high and stressful, everyone works as a team. I enjoy my co workers and positives work environment.
