At Holsag Canada, i learned how to have extreme attention to detail, but still produce quality furniture everyday meeting our lines'  daily quota and always exceeded the expected amount. each day could be different depending on how far behind or ahead the other departments were from Packing, sealer sand, repair room, paint room to the assembly area. they would shut down my line if needed and send each of us to the different areas to help. i enjoyed this job so much, because of carpentry already being a hobby of mine, however like i said i felt they would never hire me fully on so i left.

A stepping stone til you find something else.  Employees have little options or choices to make everything is made for them where they're going to work or what duty they'll perform.  If somebody wants to be a painter telling management doesn't increase the odds of being chosen to paint management will decide for themselves where they want people.

Nothing about the workplace is outright bad, but there aren't many extreme positives either. Management and HR are all fairly reasonable, but the general employee environment suffers from a lot of politicking and gossip. It's likely you'll be coming in completely unaware of where you'll be working each day, but if you show up and work hard they will value you. 

Would never recommend working at Holsag to anyone. Was given laughable training, then expected to meet unrealistic weekly numbers for the amount of staff available. Zero opportunity for advancement in company.  

its given me snd my family everything we own today so im nothing but thankful for them. I just wish I could be paid to my skill ability my triple quota everyday better quality then everyone else. don't feel like im being paid for how skilled I really am

Hours are good, the pay is horrible. The manager is non existent, expect you to do everything on your own with very minimal training. Manager will not reach out to you under any circumstances, honestly very useless. Stupid job for stupid pay, only work here if its your only option. 

Working at Holsag was a good eye opener for me.  Provided a great opportunity while I transitioned from High school to determine what path I would take in College.  Overtime was almost always available which was a nice option to have.

I start work at 3 pm to 11:30 pm Monday to Friday. 
The most enjoyable part of my job is that I get to see the quality of chairs that we send out into the public. My workplace culture is a fun enjoyable atmosphere.

great place to work wonderful work environment and management actually cares about you . You either sand chairs at a slow pace or work building or spraying them they train you great and dont expect you to be a master on your first day .

Since company was sold 2yrs ago worker morale has gone, used to enjoy going to work, now can't wait to leave.
Teamwork doesn't exist since employees are quick to blame someone else for mistakes
