Hotel Blackfoot

During my shifts I would prepare tables for reservations, organize the hostess stand, and a floor map of the restaurant. Once guests walked in, I would greet them ask if they had reservations, seat them and bring water to all guests and finally inform them that the server would be with them shortly. Whenever I had the opportunity I would help clean up dirty dishes, and glass ware, also polished any wine glasses and utensils.  I also bused tables, handle cash/debit/credit transactions when the servers could not. Occasionally the phone would ring for room service orders, or to make reservations.

During my time at the Hotel I learned how to;
Handle cash/debit/credit transactions, work in a fast paced environment, help guests find what they were looking for, serve food/beverages, deposit cash at the end of my shift, take tips accordingly and give them to the right server, answer the phone in a proper manner, keep the restaurant clean and organized, and take reservations. 

My co-workers were very helpful, understanding, and friendly.
If I didn't know how to do a certain type of transaction or forgot how to, they would teach me as they did so. If I did anything wrong, they would correct me until I got it right. I also noticed that my co-workers were strongly dedicated to their jobs, and were hard working, they always made sure the job was done correct.

The most enjoyable part about working at the Hotel Blackfoot, was the long term friendship you could make with the guests.

this company is very skill driven , never have i ever seen a place that took the meaning of pride in your work and honor among peers in terms of what they bring to the table for Hotel Blackfoot if you are career driven and you want to be more than just a cook then apply here when you come in don't be surprised at the level of detail and self presentation they expect to see of you

this was my first best job in Canada. working here encouraged me to keep my job longer when i was to leave earlier for my maternity. the most enjoyable part was that everyone including manager and supervisor were so understanding. the manager never used his powers over anyone in my present. his professional management skill make him get along nicely with everybody..

I learned : Team work / punctual / time management / production speed  etc.
workplace culture: some people can hardly adopt. 
the hardest part of the job: work ethic was little  different. 
the most enjoyable part of the job: when I finish preparing / setting up buffet as I designed punctually.

It was a nice experience to work at Blackfoot Hotel. The people is nice and open at all time. during the time I have worked there a had the chance to learn different duties and get better within the field. I really appreciate to the staff for the support they gave me during my time at Blackfoot Inn Hotel.

If you seeing this, DO NOT WORK HERE, it’s a very high pressure kitchen, and some people in the kitchen are VERY TOXIC, they bully you and get you in trouble just because they work longer in here,  some sous chef are very disrespectful, and i still feel ptsd in that kitchen, again DO NOT WORK HERE!

I want to work in this hotel. What do I need to do to become part of the team?The hotel has a good atmosphere. In a good place. I live near it. Decent wages.

A lot of down time unless there is a banquet to set up for and run.
The management doesnt care for you. the hardest part of the job was trying to find something to do to look busy. the free food was the best part of the job.

It's not a good the manager  the housekeeping and another people  not friendly so always watching you always not smile any people and another staff  always busy for me it's not a good the staff
