Leadership lacks clear direction and their policies are wishy-washy. One day it will be acceptable, tomorrow it will not. This is a boys club in its finest form. Many of the leaders should retire. Plenty of managers who lack the know-how to lead and training these managers is nonexistent. HR is a joke, they are about protecting upper management instead of the employees. Nepotism at its best. Training offered...there is none, yet they have an expectation you know how to complete the task even if you were not shown. Employee appreciation lacks which leads to low morale. Common motto amongst teams is there has to be an “i” in team because there is no teamwork. Do not count on job security because hard word, tenor and loyalty means very little to their management team. Unless you are a “yes man” type, expect to find the exit. Their focus is bottom line. Work late or through the weekend until its done and forget process. Leaders in the west have a tyrant type personality and are permitted to get away with yelling at employees with no repercussion. There are plenty of times just prior to the start of a holiday or long weekend you won’t find one senior leader in the building and managers are the most senior individual in the entire Head Office. This company advertises innovation and a progressive workplace environment yet almost every one of their processes are manual and still done through excel, no automation, they fear innovation within their own workplace and working from home is not permitted. They fear the investments into new programs to promote a better way. Poor and lowest level of health benefits are offered here.

As a strong candidate with many years of experience for an external sales role I was scheduled for an interview with hiring manager and a few hours previous to my meeting, HR reached out to me via email to cancel the interview with no postponed set date. I was told that I would be contacted by the hiring manager to reschedule the interview, no communication for 3 weeks. I had to be proactive in my communications with HR to inquire as to when the interview would take place, HR was often unresponsive during that time. I finally received an email with no apology for delay in response, informing me that KM had decided to no longer consider me as a candidate for a sales role. 

From beginning to end, this entire process lasted 6 weeks. I had a 2 week initial discussion period with HR in Montreal leading up to the scheduled interview and we both agreed that my skills, years of experience and expectations were a good fit for a Major accounts role. 

If this is a reflection of how the company treats their potential candidates, I would not like to see how KM acts towards employees once hired. 

In the end, not a positive and inspiring experience at all.

Overall this company is a great place to work.  The workforce is a combination of very tenured people who know what they are doing as well as millennial newbies, all from very diverse backgrounds.  It's a competitive, but very team oriented culture and it attracts those who have similar values. For any job from administrative to sales to service technicians, everyone seems to have a friendly competitive streak which is great when you are the type of person who wants to win and be the best.  This is a place where one can grow in any position that you fall into.  Management and leadership teams across Canada are very supportive and they care about their people.  I've been working here for almost a year and I've progressed more than I could imagine in any other job.  Pay could be a bit better, but it's competitive enough.  Depends on the values of each individual.  Personally, if my job is self fulfilling, the lower pay is not a huge deal breaker.  So far, I would say that I'm quite fulfilled.

•	Maximized equipment up-time for all in-house and field printers through professional maintenance and timely response.
•	Diagnosed, troubleshot, and solved printer issues efficiently and ensured high level of customer satisfaction.
•	Analyze customer needs, recognize business opportunities, and influence sales volume growth.

As a Key Account Manager for Konica Minolta in the photographic industry I called on 2 segments of the industry, the Retain Camera stores, and the Retail Grocery side of the business.

With Sobey's and Co-op Atlantic partnering with Konica Minolta on the photo-lab production side of the business.  I worked with both major retailers to promote film processing at their mini-labs. Ensured that a GOLD level of service was maintained for photographic equipment.

On the retail side of the Grocery business, promoted and advertised film, single use cameras as well as speciality branded products, I.E. Spiderman Single-Use Cameras.

On the Retail Cameras stores, in addition to the above, sold in the new camera model's, at that time were both film and digital.

Very fast pace as technology was evolving every 6 months with digital cameras.

Konica does have a good product line in the commercial print field. The individual MFP are good but they have to be heavily discounted to sell. 

The IT group is based out of Toronto and they do not have a good sense of IT Markets across Canada. 

Initial sales training for new hires is adequate. 

Local, Provincial and National management is poor.  They focus on rewarding sales people who have been around for a long time. Sales Directors are not properly trained and have very poor skill sets for Strategic Sales planning. 

Good sales people and managers are leaving the company and doing great in their new locations. 

The company needs to revamp its management from HO and down. The marketing group has zero idea on how to sell and only bring out plans to award sales people.  The marketing group Director has zero idea of the sales cycles and needs to be replaced. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Poor management.  Only know mfp market.  Zero understanding of account management or strategy of selling. Expectations are ridiculous 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Poor upper management who watch each others backs. Lack of product to sell on time.  Having a supposed IT group who only work in Ontario.  No support for East or West of Toronto. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
They say it’s a good group only if you have been there for years.  New staff last max of 3 years. Very basic sales training. Good if your a young recruit but get out after a year 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Lots of phone calls.  Mgmt and upper mgmt directors want over 100 phone calls a month    And if you don’t get any leads. Go to the crm.   Forecast system is not done in crm.  It’s done in a spreadsheet. Stupid.

they hire me during the annual inventory lot of work their in start , the staff from head office was also their to help and guide in inventory and for first one week i work their for 17 to 18 hours but i gave my 100% because i like to work in educated atmosphere, the supervisor after first week work of mine appriteate me a lot and told me that i will confirm you as a ware house clerk that was a big day for me that i got confirm job offer from a big company i never forget that time and remember my supervisor and that warehouse forever but unfortunately my last year exam of bachelor degree urge me to left the job and finish them first otherwise i or have a desire to work their for a longtime because i learned a lot from their in less time about ware house work.i still miss that place a lot.

A split between open management and closed management, despite a major effort to empower employees, KM likes to keep control and have employees present in the premises every working day. even if all businesses are there to make a profit, you will be under pressure to result. It is important to note that despite the good management element, one cannot freely criticize the functioning of the company. if you are a model employee, and you appreciate hierarchy, you are going to be happy on the other hand, if you are a free spirit and want to make your mark and improve or change things, it is not for you.

Busy day, everyday. Mostly busy with analytics, call routing, service emails, working with 3rd party courier to move and deliver customer machines.

Learned a lot of soft skills such as coaching, and team building. Training methods and communication skills. 

hardest part of the job was to really keep on top with everything. The job required inputs from many sources and sometimes one has to hunt and keep bugging people for key information.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the people. Office drama happens, but at the end of the day, everyone is on good terms, lots of food and team events.
