They don’t pay near enough for the jobs they send you too. If you don’t have a car it’s a minimum 45 minutes or more and that’s both ways. They should set up a text or calll service the night before so you can prepare for the job and just go straight there as opposed to getting up at 5 am to wait around for work that’s not even guaranteed. And then if you do get work you’ve already spent 2 hours at least . They need to pay more as 16-17 an hour is ridiculous for the work they ask if you. They need to let guys know the night before and set it up digitally so you don’t have to wait at the office just to maybe get a job and then go back afterwards to get paid. None of that time is paid for abs they really need to pay at least 18-19 per hour. To show up and be sent home with nothing is ridiculous they need a digital system. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
working as a team to remove cartons from pallets, then to be placed on different pallets, then shrink wrapped, and then ready for fork lift operator to place completed pallets into 53' trailers to be transferred to customers.  I love warehouse work, it is healthy too. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
If we are rushed to complete a job, if unaware of how to palletize merchandise properly.  If unaware of how to follow through will the task, and need lots of instruction. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very good!  Working with other awesome people that work at Labor Unlimited.  Good team work.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Sometimes the shift is from 7am-11am....sometimes you are sent to do two different jobs.  It is really enjoyable work.

Capability to handle assigned tasks tested daily.  There are different types of people that handle the same job differently.  Management rules are posted with clearly defined objectives which if adhered by can lead to long term steady work.  Every work assignment is different so cultures vary.  Some work assignments are not as enjoyable as others about 65%-35% split with difference being skill of supervisor that you are assigned to work for.  Guaranteed to be paid the same day that you work for, other jobs if someone else isn't task orientated then you could wait a week or more for that periods pay.

A myriad of jobs and training involved, from general labourer on construction sites to working in a fish factory.  Every day, there was something new and interesting to learn. The hardest job was carrying cabinets up 4 to 5 floors of stairs, or working with 'clock watchers'. 

The co-workers were quite often easy to work with. The most enjoyable part of the job was getting 'gigs', where I would be able to work at one location for up to 3 months, therefore, getting to know people really well.  

One 'gig' I enjoyed most, ironically, was at a fish factory.  It was working upstairs with the 'heron egg' section. It was productive, people all got along well, and it was a quiet and 'odourless' job (lol).

early start, may or may not get out for work, unpleasant work environment, but at least you get paid daily or weekly if you choose. you can learn new skills, borrow steel toes (gum boots),hard hats, gloves etc. if you need to and lots of times temp jobs can turn into full time job offers if you work well and don't do drugs or drink at work...which happens a lot unfortunately.

I like the idea that they are flexible and can take days off for job interviews and personal reasons and no long drawn out excuses they understand and remember that when I am there my work ethic always comes first and regardless of pay rate I always give 100% of myself and therefore when do go in they go to great lengths to get me money and understand my physical barriers I will keep them on back up for work and money even when I go back to my trade at higher wage

Job availability, worker support with transportation,allowance,and work gear.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
None. They are straight forward agency that has been in the business for a long time.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A work and labor environment  that has jobs everyday for those who are in good standing

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Regular shift on site, show up early and first come, first serve atmosphere

The company is okay. They will pay you same day you do a job so it's great if you need fast money. The staff is friendly. I usually got over minimum wage for most jobs. The only downside is you always have to go to the office and pick up a work slip before each job. That is very inconvenient because you waste bus fare going to get the slip at the office then paying bus fare to go to the job, then you have to drop off the work slip after the job so you can get paid. A lot of wasted time and bus fare.

Good company I was offered full time work constantly from their contacts. I had to refuse alot of offers due to family obligations at the time. I had worked for them as a labourer to start and then a First Aid attendant. I was employed for five years part-time between the Lower Mainland and Kelowna. Great if you need an opportunity to prove your worth, as a woman, they gave me a shot.

Both warehouse and construction any work would do for me

Work my 8 hours. And ask my lead/ supervisor if there's overtime then I would stay
