- you will find that the exec/management team (the leadership) lacks the knowledge on how to be inclusive, accommodating, supportive, welcoming, friendly, professional, ethical, etc. 

- there is no "I" in team, yet the leadership is extremely selfish and not respectful to all in society

- the organization knows how to talk the talk, but they have no clue how to walk the talk as they do the complete opposite (very toxic work environment with egregious leaders).

- when a job is 5 or more pages long, and full-time, the pay should not be minimum wage and or 'entry-level' as the salaries are well below the poverty level for the Region of Waterloo (how can someone help others, if they are not motivated by a team environment where everyone is able to eek out a living?). 

From my first day to my last, inconsistency was the only consistent thing. This organization prides in resident focused care, inclusivity and compassion in the workplace. My experience was anything but inclusive, welcoming or accommodating to my disabilities. Management is not available for you or help to set you up for success. No one should ever feel like they are walking on eggshells the moment you enter your workplace, especially in the early stages of employment.

It’s a very rewarding experience!!!

Not having enough time to get jobs done

The environment is as very positive and supportive and wide variety of culture

Busy ,Enjoyable, and rewarding knowing I’ve helped someone today !!!

This company is terrible. It always felt like you were walking on eggshells and afraid to say something. Lots of hard work and no gratitude.
Management did not support you. Many staff would be dismissed without any reason and left the rest of our staff wondering.. 

I worked morning shift  so busy but manageable and love my job
I learned everyday get along with residents and fun challenging job but i enjoyed working with residents
Hardest part  short staff always especially memory care



Volunteering on the Memory Care floor was a good experience for a student! There are plenty of staff on the floor there to help and lots of opportunities to learn about the impact dementia has on the individual level. 

This is a great place to work, and the team is very supportive and collaborative. There is enough flexibility to have strong work-life balance. The salary is competitive in the non-profit sector. Paid time off is exceptional.

Good work/home balance.

Management genuinely tries to schedule fairly.
The hardest part is when others take advantage of the benefits and others have to pick up their work.

If you needed a day off it was no problem 

It's an overall great experince, hours are great, people are carring and decent pay just some of the residents could be a handful mostly on the second floor.
